I'm sure several of them have probably been reading N4G. To at least acknowledge the presence of a 'sony fanboy.' We only inhabit this area remember.

This is the type of game DLC just feels natural for because of the case by case, not so interconnected setup.

This is all the DLC so; I'm willing to bet Team Bandi is hard at work on LA NOIRE pt2. That rumor about a lot of content being cut to fit 3 disks is probably true and might see itself in a part 2 or sequel.

For some reason I doubt Capcom will give Ninja Theory proper time to finish the game, like they would if it was done internally. Ninja theory hasn't really ever had proper time to finish a game this gen. For the same reason I'm not too psyched about the new Resident Evil. It seems they like to use western devs in part due to an expedited development cycle.

I think it depends on how greedy they get on removing features/maps that would be there normally and making them for pay, whether or not this thing will destroy CoD.

What I might pay for is cross platform support between 360 and PS3. That won't happen of course.

So if you pay for the service on PS3, do you still get shafted on having a month long wait on DLC?

5405d ago 7 agree1 disagreeView comment

Well if they hired people to monitor the games and filtered out the douchebags online, I might actually pay for it; but I doubt that's part of the plan.

I could see Sony leaking some details about the Cell 2, and leaving it that - just to make sure everyone stays put and doesn't hop on the Cafe.

Because they're too lazy to go to school, to get decent credentials to go along with their experience - I agree they should. Some of them do have cozy IT jobs already. The hacker stereotypes N4G wants to put on them are just that - stereotypes, hackers can be anyone.

I can see it already:

ISP provider: "Hey if you let us filter our traffic, we'll take extra steps to weed out hacker types, we even have the tech to do it"

Government: "Originally we wanted to protect an equal playing field on the internet, but hacking is the greater evil here, so we'll let it slide to keep our capitalism secure, consumer rights need to slide as terrorists will start hacking soon"

Guess I'll just make sure I watch Sony's E3 from IGN instead of PSBlog, no biggie.

Heavily promoted OtherOS? Really? You've got to be kidding me. I still have my original 60GB PS3 box, and no where on the box does it say anything about Linux or Other OS - I think you have to dig to the back of the instruction manual to find anything about that. Realistically hackers went after PS3, because it was considered unhackable, and since everything is hackable - it became quite a prize for lots of hacker types, even though they want to blame it on the Linux thing to send a messa...

Hackers tend to me more PC fans, which seem to cater to xbox more than PS3, but isn't always the case. If you don't notice you'll see PC fan trolls all over every console graphics thread. One of the guys that was an active part of Anon quit because he noticed all the haters came out of the woodwork when an electronics company became the target of their campaigns - which is obviously out of console/pc loyalty.

Knowing how dirty MS tends to play (rumor was they he...

I'm going to say there's a fair chance something new will take that cake over everything we've seen so far.

His type of character represents something funny to me: misguided over-confident men who really are sort of dumb - something you notice out there all the time.
In a sense he's making fun of how far men can go to appear to be an alpha male. In his head he's really what he makes himself out to be, but in reality he gives off signs he obviously isn't.
It's really clever, but he also might be making gamers out to be weirdos in a way. Which is why I could understand...

I still believe there hasn't been a game yet that truly deserves a 10/10. There's always room to improve or things I see they could have done better in even the best games. With that being said LA Noire was a cut above the rest of the pack in the sea of games we have out there. It didn't score as well as red dead, so I'm not calling it overrated - it's very refreshing for someone who plays games all the time to get to play something new and different as well as beautiful...

Those x86 and x64 processors you love cost a whole lot more to make than the Cell because they have a lot more transistors per chip. Sure they can outperform a cell in certain areas and require far less programming and resource management, but that comes at a cost - IBM could have included a lot of that functionality, but then PS3 would still be $400 or dead.

Those chips keep being made to keep the Windows/Intel monopoly alive, even though they're far less efficient.

sure ram can make a game look better, but it can also encourage devs to lengthen load times to be competitive. The blu ray speeds needs to be able to accommodate a large amount of RAM. Besides RAM would help it do PC like features, rather than help games out as much as you think.
