After a 7/10 on Journey Edge predictably underrates another PS3 exclusive with 6/10.. the same damn story for 5 years from them. The sad part is the amount of people that actually believe Edge doesn't have any bias.
Unless Apple starts paying for games to be developed or makes them themselves and build a market for it, they won't compete. No developers will think its a good idea to put a modern game budget on an Ipad game.
Doesn't even look like a deal at all, it's just normally what you see on newegg.com's site if you sort by those price ranges.
The nightmare is Apple is good enough at marketing to trick vast amounts of people to think that IPad is a gaming device, they'll buy the thing then think 'gaming isn't for them' of course Apple is only hurting the industry. When someone talks about having fun playing videogames, they'll relate to their ipad 3 experience and have a bit of a snicker to themselves. These great 'marketeers' of gaming are only serving to give gaming a bad rep by selling people games...

More like this 'journalist' is openly accepting bribes; and would likely be reviewing the machine on different terms than a normal person cause he got it for free. What a sorry piece of trash. I bet you can tell which companies send him freebies.
This game is incredible.
So apple gets bonus points for 'sleek' design but Sony doesn't? I doubt this guy owns a Vita or even a PSP.
Ipad 3 is more powerful than ps3/360? Not from what I've read. I know epic said it had more memory and more resolution, but I don't believe the 3D tech is near a ps3/360 or even vita.
"Images not representative of actual gameplay" pops up at the end??? What's that mean? I hope this is from in-engine and not pre-rendered.
Can Valve afford to moneyhat multiple studios? Their first party barely does 1 game a year I don't see how they can compete..
Sounds like it's going to be quickly forgotten about, or if they dare attempt to make HL3 exclusive it will be the HL3 box. I will admit having another player on the field will force MS to step up it's investment, so they can't coast on being just another 3rd party game console.
I don't think other console fans would let them get by without a derogatory name, nice try though.
I have a hard time taking you as impartial in a GPU vs CPU topic with an avatar like that.
I'm pretty sure MS knows exactly what's going on, the problem is they're too scared to change XBL so everyone has to re-enter cc details each purchase. Because it's pretty obvious that change would fix this issue.
From what I know I believe it's a design flaw in xblive and the console itself, that and Microsoft is too scared to introduce barriers of security because it would hurt xbl sales. Basically, Sony's system detects that the user is using a different console, and then prompts you for the 3 digit security code once that happens. XBOX 360 can't do that, or if it can MS doesn't want to introduce barriers to spending money on the console. Plain and simple: MS may never fix this is...
You see them about Nintendo every now and then, MS seems to get a blind eye. With Sony getting the worst treatment, as they are MS's direct competitor.
What I'm finding out is the reality is a lot of the tech and financial sites out there are very much run by MS evangelists, MS has worked on these people for many years. Their influence is spewing over into videogames sites, who are sourcing tech and financial blogs (remember gamespot is owned by cnet). While many sit...
I'm really not sure how well it will do it needs to click with average joe. I'm sure it will in the end become profitable, which is all they really aimed for. We need to see Call of Duty and Battlefield making Portable versions with cross play between console and handled and maybe Red Dead Portable, then it could really get some traction.
The memory cards almost represent the fact Sony is weary of piracy on the thing. It's an insurance plan - if piracy does break out, at least they'll still be able to make a small profit on the things. And yes subsidizing a console through accessories was proven a successful model yet again this last gen. Entry price is a huge deal to 90% of the people out there.
I have taken note and it's not just no name sites, there were several Forbes articles, the wall street journal, destructoid, IGN, and cnet to name a few usual suspects. These 'Doom' articles are not just coming from sites that desparately need hits from N4G or even care about it.
Target.com and bestbuy.com have some pre-order games included in the deal, I ended up going through target.com to add resistance in there.
I double checked, Journey got a 8/10, still at 8/10 it is the second lowest score on metacritic for the game; clearly lower than the rest of the media.
Pay close attention to Exibit A: https://skydrive.live.com/v...
Look at the Chart to the right, these numbers are real, the math is real, it all checks out. As you can see Edge isn't even close...
