It's awesome! I couldn't stop playing. True, some of the riddles/puzzles are very obscure, but I managed to work them all out without any guides, help, or hints. I found out a few days ago, the "unluckiest direction" one is in reference to Japanese culture and what they deem to be unlucky.
Also, if you are aiming to do the End-game tower, there is a puzzle which involves the points of the compass, but it's in Japanese, so you will need to look that up ...
There are about 100-150 PS4 titles now if I recall correctly. Every month they swap the PS3 version for its PS4 counterpart if possible, as well as add more PS4 games to the mix. Also, there was that patent a while ago about running emulation in one-half of the available CPU and GPU threads and using the other half doe optimisations. A bit like what the X does with standard BC games.
So we could see a full-on emulation coming soon as well.
Sorry but I’ve gotta be ‘that guy’. It’s not exclusive. It’s a timed release. It’s coming to other consoles after launch.
There is no ‘lack of crossplay’ - there are loads more crossplay titles on PS4 to PC and PSVita/PS3 to PS4 than the Xbox to anything else.
The only thing that’s limited is cross between consoles - something MS were 100% against last gen yet nobody jumped on them over that. Sony does loads of PC and PS4 crossplay titles, so I don’t see an issue here.
It probably could but the remaster is of the console port of the game and not the PC port - as such, all the timings, physics and gameplay is most likely locked to 30 within the engine.
So it's not a case of 'it can't do it' but more a case of 'the engine and the original code wasn't designed for it'
I'm a reviewer on another site - I have the PS4 version of Agony and I've had it since Friday last week - we were advised a patch was coming early this week to change things and resolve issues. No such patch arrived - so a few sites have gone ahead and reviewed the broken copy and some, like myself, have held back for the update. I just hope it's worth the wait as I've played the current version and it's not very pretty.
Not sure if the review mentioned ...
Aarons stats are all fake - he posted on Twitter than 41k streamers streamed the game to the sum of 35m hours. That means that on average the streamers had streamed 84 hours. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but there aren't 84 hours in two days, so how is that possible?
Now, I believe he means 3.5 million minutes, as that places it at about 1h45m on average. That figure would make more sense, but he turned minutes into hours for the purpose of blowing things out of pr...
It's actually going to be bigger than the size you quoted. I'm reviewing it atm, so can't say a lot - but there is a day-one patch coming which adds a lot more content supposedly as there are some bits not in the initial build.
The game is only out in Japan. Capcom only has Japanese servers set up. People in the US are moaning and can't understand why they are getting connection drops... Are they all stupid over there?
Have they ever tried to play a MP game and connected to EU, JP or AU servers? Notice that little thing called 'Ping'? Obviously, they are going to get drops - that's why companies set up servers in all the major regions.... Once it's officially out in that regio...
Think I’ll just wait until it’s £3 again in a sale then buy it. I’m not paying for postage and not even being able to get an EU key. What a stupid process
Content seems like a review - all reviews are under embargo until May 28th 12:00 noon CET
I guess it all depends on what you're into. This game changes it up a little - part of the game is the usual 'avoid the dolls' but then it changes and you have to play their versions of 'children's games' as you keep them entertained. If you lose though, then they will jump scare and take you.
It's not bad - very jumpy and the sounds really freak you out, especially if wearing headphones.
Exactly :) - As I was writing the above review, I saw some other people had given it a 6 or lower score, which is crazy. I really enjoyed playing through it. The devs even responded to my request for a photo mode and said they will see what they can do in the future :) - I thought the game looked really pretty and colourful.
I just wish the murder/mystery board was more interactive and it made you come to conclusions yourself rather than telling you exactly what you have t...
The publisher has told me that version 1.0 is dropping on the 8th, which is why all review copies aren't being sent out yet. The Xbox and PC are also getting the update on the 8th as well. Supposedly, the final product is "very different to the preview build and all reviewers are strongly advised to not do a review based on anything but the day-one updated build". That's what I was told off Funcom anyway.
? Not sure if you think I'm the writer of this post or related to them in any way - I'm not. The site I'm from rarely does news, we focus on reviews, opinions and our podcast. I just know the size is going to change because I've been talking to the publisher this week about obtaining a few copies :)
This won't be the final size - all our review copies have been held off until launch as there is a massive day-one patch coming on the 8th to all three platforms according to the publisher
MS owns the QB IP though, so if they are working on it then it wont be their P7 game which is coming to PS4 - unless MS sold the IP to them for some reason?
It is! I think it was supposed to come out last year, but it got delayed for some reason. I know a load of people who have been waiting for something like this, myself included, as it was one of the first things that came to the PC VR systems but never to PS4. I'm just glad they included things like the ability t load up images in-game and even the ability to export as a usable 3d file for use on PC. Small things like that add so much to the application.
She'll love it then. I put the headset on this morning and I spent about three hours in it doing my Spyro the Dragon (which is in the review) and a few other bits - the time just flew by and I really enjoyed it. Once you get used to the different things you can create, it gets really interesting.
Isn't Metro Exodus also on Feb 22nd? I don't think Anthem will 'bury' anything - people will be a lot more cautious due to Mass Effect and Star Wars last year. Days gone will easily outsell Crackdown 3, we all know that, but they are separate platforms, so separate audiences. But, Metro could be a competitor as those devs are known for releasing polished games.
