It does - but who pays $70 a month on a phone? Here in the UK you're looking at about £20-£30 for the latest iPhone on an 18-24 month contract, most of which allow you to pay off the phone side early and update before your time is up.
With this offer, you're stuck with an X for two years, even if a new console comes out. Just seems like a way to rope people into paying for a few years rather than buying it, getting bored and selling it off, or moving onto...
" for our game in particular, it’s purely a CPU concern on consoles." - If that's true then the Pro should be 1440-1800p because the X is only about 12-15% faster in terms of CPU speed. Clearly MS stepping in has restricted the final output and the fact it's been in development for a few years on Xbox and only a few months on the PS4 systems. Chances are they don't even have PS4 Pro dev kits - now that MS own them.
Also, the comment they made about it ...
What was it? They announced the GamesPass mobile app - which I thought was streaming GamesPass on mobiles - but it isn't, its just browse and tell them to download from your phone to your console
PC only atm. The community manager got annoyed when everyone was asking about the consoles. Looks like we ‘may’ not get it on consoles, just like all the mods the PC version has as well
That's where a lot of reviewers and people are going wrong. Sure, reviews should include a little bit about the story but as you say, everyone knows the story - or has at least heard bits of it. The main chunk of the review should be on how the re-release performs and operates as a whole and how it runs as a new-comer. I'm 34yrs old, yet I never played either of the two games back in the day as I gamed on different consoles, so this re-release was my first encounter with them - I love...
Nicknasty - So I'm closed minded and I'm lying about playing both games? So I'm not a reviewer of another site which got the game from SEGA on Friday afternoon and then spent all weekend playing through both games - completing the first one on Saturday and almost completing the second game before stopping to write my review on Monday? Okay. Believe what you want to believe.
However, I can assure you at the above is true, yet I hold no nostalgia for the game as I...
as long as it will search partial words! I sometimes can't spell what I'm looking for so I just put in a few letters until the one I want pops up!
Maybe people who live in countries which use a different layout of the keyboard... AZERTY is the second most common one - it's all about which letters your native tongue uses the most. If your language uses a lot of a certain letter, then it;'s most likely in an easier to reach position than Z and X are on a QWERTY keyboard.
However, if your region is set to one which uses qwerty, I've never seen a different layout pop up - not even an alphabetical one.
"Compared to the PC and console version, this looks like a mobile game." - I would say that's to be expected. The big question is how does it run? It runs like crap on all 4 consoles and even high-end PCs
Speculation but I wonder if this means a SR 3 (or even 1-3) remaster is on the way?
I can't wait for this - I used to play the setters for hours every night. The Setters 2 was the best in the series though - as they started to add more features and make it more like an RTS, the feel of the game changed. I loved having to strategically place command towers in order to expand your land and attack your opponents. The music was also perfect!
So you would rather have someone lie to you and tell you it looks and runs great with no issues and pretend the game is interesting and exciting when you’ll be spending 40 mins just stood there waiting for the clock to tick half the time?
The game is about 20 years old. The guys review was based on the version that’s out tomorrow. If you want To keep your rose tinted glasses on, don’t read reviews. Critics have to be unbiased and based their reviews on the latest version a...
@DigitalRaptor - I wouldn’t say Shenmue is a “crucial” release. It’s A very niche title which will most likely only sell to hardcore fans.
We have the full patch notes, we have known what it’s going to fix since Friday. It’s not a massive list of fixes and it doesn’t address the major issues. All it covers are missing audio files/lines, static noises, some graphical errors in very specific areas and a few other bits across both games.
There is no mention...
To those in this small thread wondering - we were told on Friday exactly what’s in the patch which Is coming Out tomorrow. So providing the guy read the release notes, it’s should have been taken into account :)
Haha. Don’t worry. Everyone else who click on the article we’re also fooled by the click bait title.
“THQ Nordic Signs Distribution Deal With Microsoft Studios For Multiple Titles”
You can’t say that from reading just that, and not the text below it, that you knew instantly it meant THQ is publishing MS Studio Games on Steam.
At first glance that title has been constructed to make it seem like MS and THQ have signed a deal for THQ to distribute games for them - as in on the Xbox.
The title is misleading - it's about THQ Nordic publishing 5 MS Studio games like Recore onto Steam - not THQ onto Xbox.
Only on Xbox though - THQ Nordic are doing the Steam PC versions in both physical and digital by the sound of it.
Exactly what I thought when I clicked through. Clearly worded as click bait
Okay, I've finished Arthurs playthrough and towards the end, even the pro was suffering in the towns - the game started pumping out 30+ NPCs in the same area rather than the usual 5-10 - this caused a bit of slow down here and there. Nother too major though.
