This review reminded me of a comment I saw on Digital Foundry's analysis on YouTube the other day. A guy said "It's about time we got a kart racer on PS and Xbox" - to which I replied with a list of all the kart racers currently out on both platforms. His answer, "yeah, but they don't count because I don't like them".
This is a similar situation, going into the game with an initial bias that the sun shines out of Nintendo's backside a...
I don't get why so many sites don't understand what a 'remaster' is. They seem to confuse it with 'Remake' as they feel disappointed when a game releases at a higher framerate and resolution with all the DLC - they seem to think it should have been rebuilt from the ground up and had all the mechanics changed - that's not a remaster.
I had lots of fun with this game, even though the story only lasts around five hours. It has the multiple DLC missi...
Didn't think Dead Island had been cancelled - thought it was just put to one side for the moment whilst the teams are finishing up other projects.
Supposedly Darksiders 2 is coming to the switch - I don't know if that'll be one of the announcements.
Would have thought reviews were embargoed until release date, KT games usually are these days...
Well, it is... we get review codes and support for all major publishers and developers, as well as small indies as well. We’re a fairly new site, at just under a year old, but we are real.
But, thanks for your input, it was very relevant to the article.
I can’t really talk about the score, as it was my colleague who reviewed it, but I know he didn’t have fun playing it. It had potential to be something much better but there were too many things which ruined the experience for him.
I know he’s a big horror fan, which is why I gave it him to review, but he’s not a fan of walking simulation (terrible description) games which don’t really explain what your doing or make things very clear. So that may have affected his judgeme...
why? It as nothing to do with that - the amount of misinformation in here is shocking. The Wii used Gamespy for its online gameplay - did that mean it was cross play with all Gamespy games on the PC? Of course not. Just because Sony is moving from Amazon to MS in terms of renting servers for their content delivery, that doesn't mean anything other than literally what I just said...
Everyone presumes Sony won't be at E3... I know there is no conference, but the majority of announcements and reveals came from the pre shows previously, they may still have one of those whist the conferences are going on.
Also, I doubt they'll 'flock' to MS, they most likely have to pay to be shown. A lot of announcements will happen on YouTube and via being shown on the floor
They haven't created more companies than any other, they literally bought out smaller devs that were in financial difficulty. That's a big difference, anyone can buy an already established team, they've made one team this gen - well, their game probably won't be until next gen.
I think this is debatable. As far as I can see, he's played the 'nice guy' this generation, taking credit for everything that happens. However, all he's done is perform a 180 and managed to put out the E3 xbox one they originally wanted. Sure he's pushed for cloud and other platform gaming, but that was out of nessesity; the brand was in a stalemate and needed a push constantly this generation.
The standard S will always be cheaper. Retailers want you to buy the one with a drive so you can buy and trade physical games with them. They have no motivation to push the digital version.
This is so backwards, it's the kind of mindset Xbox wants you to have. If a game comes out and it has to work on the PS4, pro and ps5 then either the PS4 side will run/look like crap or the ps5 side won't use the full system capabilities.
I don't see why the generation this time around are obsessed with not wanting to progress and experience new things.
Sont will want people on the ps5, so apart from a few cross gen titles In the first 6months...
Two very different genres and games. A score for one can’t be held in comparison of another. A site may give Tetris a 10/10 but God of War a 9, doesn’t mean it’s better, just one of the best within its genre.
On a side note, IGN do score things relatively low as they pick at small things in order to find fault.
I really enjoyed it. It was my first game on the Wii U and I used to play it all the time, albeit that was including the multiplayer which they stripped out of this version. Once you get past the five-hour intro, things start to pick up and the game becomes pretty decent. I prefer it over the Ezio games, in terms of content and overall story.
True, but for the sake of SEO and the way Google pulls in search results, having the numerical value in brackets means that people searching for Assassins Creed 3 or Assassins Creed III will have google find and pull this result higher up the list.
It's not really a clarification for people, just for the algorithm.
@No Way - trophies earnt offline have a timestamp placed upon them. Soon as you go online they are uploaded with that 'set in stone' date and time. Anyway, it doesn't matter - I was purely correcting their speculation with a little factual information, rather than quoting what the reviewer claimed.
@milohighclub - oh be quiet, I had a look because people, like yourself, tried to counter my speculation with your own speculation by blindly believing the final sentence of the review... This was clearly a rushed review for the sake of getting it out there for more clicks. That was the only point I was getting at, yet that's hard for some of you to comprehend I guess.
If ~seven hours gameplay in an open world game, which supposedly takes around 15 hours to complete th...
See my other comment - if he's the guy who has played the same games at the same time as this guy has posted reviews, based on PSNProfiles, then he's played around seven hours or so, five on Friday and two on Saturday - then put up the review shortly after.
Having a game for 'three days' doesn't mean they've played it for three days...
'Lose' what? Why is the publication pushing a console-war inducing article... oh, it's GamingBolt...
nobody ever 'Loses' at E3, regardless of all the fanboys who try and claim they do - MS shows off a lot of third-party games which people can play on pretty much every platform, along with a few PC and Xbox timed or contractual exclusives, Sony shows off the games it is creating whilst giving an update on where they're at, as well as more third partie...
