You say it's a port of the PS2 classic, but is it? I would imagine it would be the remastered version we got on PS4 last year with more graphical upgrades, or at least the PS3 remaster from a few years earlier. I would have rather had the trilogy but I bet they will release them one by one instead.
Whilst I enjoyed the review, I don't feel it's fair to rate the game so low simply because of the price point. After a few months, the game will be reduced and on sale yet your review will still reflect a low score due to your issues with the initial price.
I feel it would have been fairer to review the game for its merits and as a game but mention the pricing issue as a side point which doesn't affect the score, as it's not technically an issue with the ga...
@duck - Nah, there have been a number of articles that pop up from time to time which indicates that MS likes to Micromanage the studios working for them, it's why a few developers won't work directly with them and why a lot of indie and Japanese devs didn't partner with them at the beginning of the generation. Obv, things have changed since then as they are now supposedly more relaxed (as we'll see with the next wave of games from their newly bought-out studios). But at the b...
" You can clearly see how Nier was taking over and was being showcased more than Scalbound despite the latter being announced beforehand." - MS were the publishers, if there was any lack of being showcased, it was down to MS. Nobody knows how far the game had got before it was pulled. Gameplay footage shown was choppy and clearly had framerate issues on the Xbox One as if the game was too ambitious for the system.
The speculation and rumours about MS demanding thi...
I'm calling it - they are putting the TellTale GoT game on Gamepass next month
So you think people are rushing out to get an Xbox one X (as the S doesn't 'look a lot better'), a Switch, and a PS4... Wouldn't people just grab a PS4 or a Pro and a Switch... They then have all the 3rd party games (which look great on the vast majority of 1080p TVs and even the very small minority of people's 4K TVs), the exclusives, and the Switch games. What are they missing out on? The few bad and boring MS games...
Don't be stupid - the price of food goes up every year based on the yearly rates - at least it does over here in the UK and in Europe. If you went to the shops with £20 20 years ago, you'd get about 3x more food than you would today
why? the framerate is most likely linked to the CPU, which the X and Pro are almost identical - it's like a 7% increase on the X. The GPU isn't really being used other than to generate the 1080p image, which they can both do fine.
don't be silly - its a native 1080 on the X and pro at 60fps
Neither - they are both 1080/60 and 1080/30 / 900/30 on the PS4 and Xbox One.
The X and Pro will look identical - there probably won't even be any framerate differences due to the CPU being almost the same on both systems, the extra GPU won't be being used here.
@shaggy2303 - it’s not just low downloaded games. They strategically remove games that they notice people are playing a lot of. Why? Because If you want to carry on playing, you now have to buy the game.
It's Windows Central - they pretend the PS4 doesn't exist. Even when they review or promote upcoming games, when talking about the platforms it's coming to, they only mention Xbox, PC and Switch - they have a 'thing' about mentioning the rival platform. Chances are, the Pro will have similar settings, that part of the interview either wasn't put on the site or the question wasn't asked.
fake news - should be updated advising this was all speculation and the official statement has come out saying it won't be pulled.
This won't make sense now as the description has been changed - it originally said the dynamic duo had been leaked - with no image of the games. At the time it all made sense though...
The Brah is such a tease - Thought it was Batman related!
Well done breaking the embargo, again. Twice broken for the same game...
Another article judging a game by its viewer count on Twitch. don't they realise that people watching doesn't equate to how many people are playing it - the game doesn't instantly make every single game viewable by default. I'm not doubting that it's popularity is going down (those applauding this are rather irritating as it could be the end of Bioware, which isn't something you should be celebrating), but I'm saying basing anything off Twitch views is stupid.
If it’s lie the arcade collection, it’ll be cool. That had a bunch of visual and difficulty settings along with a lengthy ‘history of’ document to read through.
There are rules on PC. Steam has its vac bans which, if found using tools or abusing in certain games, will get you permabanned via your IP from playing a large number of games. Others will strip your account from you, along with any in game currencies or DLC you bought for it, others like Ubisoft will close your Uplay account and take your games library, as will EA with Origin. Every platform does the same and it’s in their terms of service, if found guilty then you’ll face the consequences....
At most, I expect they’ve had the game for one day - not really long enough to fully play through and experience everything on offer. This is the second time they have released a review early due to them buying the game though. I would have thought they would have stuck to the embargo (as they clearly know when it is), even if it’s just to remain in good standing with Bethesda.
