The CMA is setting the precedent that if you lie to us to get a deal go through (like Microsoft did about Bethesda), then your "assurances" don't mean anything to them any more.
Can you read? "The Activision development team have a long history of optimizing game performance for available hardware capabilities. The Parties are confident that in addition to Warzone, CoD buy-to-play titles (e.g., CoD: Modern Warfare 2) can be optimised to run on the Nintendo Switch in a timely manner...."
CMA calls out another obvious lie. Good on them.
Yes, Microsoft accounting for 2/3 is exactly the issue. The deal would make them even more powerful in that area, preventing competition.
They weren't about to fall for Microsoft's lies again that they won't make anything exclusive
Come on let's have some brains here. One developer's experience is just that, their experience. It may have worked for them.
Overall however it does not.
Ah yes, genius journalists. This game is the best and worst ever!!!
That "rumor" was nothing more than some person at Reuters making a prediction. It didn't come from any source/insider information or anything.
Lack of library? There are a shit ton more games on there than GP.
The only things GP wins on is first party day 1 releases.
If they're going to allow Bethesda and Activision purchases... Sony sure as hell has nothing to worry about.
Nintendo exists because of Mario, Zelda, Metroid and many other legendary franchises that you will never see on another console. The portable PCs are no threat to them.
6 skills has nothing to do with console limitations. The game has always been like that. With a Playstation or Xbox controller you literally have 12 buttons (counting the dpad), so they would easily go above 6 if they wanted. That isn't even counting using like L1 as a modifier.
They don't want you to be able to use a ton of skills. They want your build to be a decision you have to make.
This was never about a monopoly. It is about anti-competitive behavior, which this certainly is. But those are different things.
You know you're full of shit.
Same for the "our first 2 releases were Playstation exclusives" as if they are some kind of heroes. Let's ignore that they were contractually obligated prior to the purchase.
How about some clarification.
They said it wouldn't harm the market BECAUSE THEY DON'T BELIEVE MICROSOFT WOULD MAKE THE GAMES EXCLUSIVE.
That's a pretty fucking stupid assumption considering Microsoft tried to act like they wouldn't do it for Bethesda games either.
I think they're asking for a main game in the classic style, not remakes or some offshoot game.
That "gameplay" (if that is what one can even call it) is the same from last year.
No in+game.purchases. But there will be out of game purchases.
Microsoft had 20 years and multitudes times more money than Sony and they couldn't come up with their own IPs.
I think focus on it instead of finish it quick is a better way to look at it. Don't go off playing a bunch of other games while this sits there taking up storage if that is a concern for you.
Focus on it, finish it and uninstall it.
