Who expected more due to Microsoft acquisition? The opposite is true. Exactly what we got.
Imagine being thankful for a service because you don't have to buy the shit games it offers.
Harassment is pressure or intimidation.
Telling someone they suck or they're an idiot isn't that. Now if you repeatedly do it, then it can become that.
None of this stuff was even directed at her as far as we know. The way she words it is that she can't believe people are making these comments in general.
Does this "opinion" tell us something we didn't already know?
The forgot to mention what harassment was received. Because people critiquing and mocking the game is not harassment alone.
There is no examples of harassment in the story or her tweets.
She doesn't even make that claim. She is just upset that people she knows we're bashing the game.
"It has been revealed on the web that Microsoft shared the opinion of the critics and didn't believe in the Arkane Studios game's success."
Did I miss that? In fact Spencer literally said that Microsoft rated it way higher internally.
Also what exactly did this "retailer" say? Sounds like it was just their uninformed opinion and not based on anything.
Just like Darth yesterday trying to blame EA for Anthem. EA gave them 2 whole years to fix the game and Darth acted like EA was the problem and not Bioware.
I didn't watch the video, but the quotes in the article do not match the headline here. He doesn't say they will never out-console them. He just said they aren't in the business of out-consoling them. That's not exactly the same.
I still think it is pretty dumb of him to say it. It is also beyond stupid that he says building great games isn't a solution to their reputation among gamers....... uh what? That is EXACTLY where their reputation constantl...
Uh what do you think this article is bud?
Ghost of Tsushima 7
Horizon Zero Dawn 7
Horizon Forbidden West 6.5
TLOU Part I 6.5
How is what I said proof of EA being hands on? All this is proof of is that EA gave Bioware 2 years to fix it, and Bioware couldn't. So yes, EA stepped in and made a decision.
You got the wrong feeling, because you apparently can't understand simply things. Anthem was a disaster. That is on both the developer and the publisher. The same goes here for Redfall. The devs screwed up. Microsoft screwed up letting it get released.
You keep saying...
Your comment about EA pulling the plug on Anthem is quite ridiculous as well. They had 2 years to fix the game (as you pointed out). They didn't release the game and then give up on it immediately. 2 years is a hell of a long time to continue supporting a game. Even if they did have a different plan to begin with. Bioware had a long long time to address the issues.
You want to blame EA for Anthem's failure and put none on Bioware. So, what's the excuse of Redfall? They failed on their own? Even if Microsoft/Bethesda was 100% hands off (which you can't say for sure).... them letting it get released.... that is on them as the publisher and owner.
But when the reviewer doesn't mention the terrible AI and boring emptiness... that's an issue.
No, the review does not mentions the glaring issues. It mentions a handful of things the reviewer didn't like (story isn't twisty/intriguing, dialog is hammy, have to change your loadout all the time). Since I'm so blind and can't read.... please list one major issue the game has that is mentioned in this article.
You're right I haven't played it. But you're absolutely wrong that one needs to play a game in order to know anything about it. I ...
He mentioned ZERO issues. I didn't say he had to list them all. As a reviewer it is your DUTY to mention some of this stuff. You aren't supposed to be some fanboy ignoring obvious and glaring flaws.
They can like it. But this review somehow failed to mention obvious problems. Like the game or not, you cannot ignore those things. You have to write about them. If you don't, then it most certainly is a stain on their integrity as a game reviewer.
Anyone offended by this, it was optional. You could just decline it.
He was in charge of their games before that. He's been shit for 15 years.
