Nobody is convinced that enhanced bc games are replacing the need for new games but what you fail to remember is that exclusive first party games aren't the only games that people care about. Xbox is still getting a pretty decent flow of third parties on top of them constantly adding new games to the bc list. We all are in agreement that Xbox needs more first party/exclusive titles.
And as far as "reruns" are concerned, what do you call the constant remasters and remake...
Everybody should want it. I can't see anyone making a viable argument as to why they wouldn't. It only hurts us as consumers because we have to dictate where we purchase games based on what our friends are playing on. Majority of the time I end up buying on PC because that's where all my friends are but that means I typically can't play with my brother who is usually only on console cause he can't afford a decent PC. Everyone will benefit from cross play.
And every time an article that comes out about a multiplat performing better on the X all the Sony ponies have to come rattle off a list of exclusives like they are the only games that matter. Get over yourself dude.
@Notorious I'm sorry but Nintendo barely takes risks at all with their games. Yes their hardware they do it with but every single gen for them is Mario, Mario Kart, Smash, Zelda. Rinse and repeat. If Nintendo took risks with their games we would have seen a new Metroid by now.
I definitely think game collecting is dead or definitely dying. I had a huge game collection a few years back but sold it all to buy a PS4. Remasters, remakes, ports, virtual console and everything being available digitally basically sucked the value out of my collection. I spent way more money buying and owning the original cartridges/disks and at what cost? They end up looking terrible if you're playing on an HD TV and they are a huge hassle to tote around from apartment to apartment le...
My man. Idk why Twilight Princess is never in the conversation but I absolutely love how dark that game was. The battle system was more like Wind Waker but had the dark undertones of Majora's Mask and definitely followed the traditional Zelda format. Easily my favorite out of all of them.
Let's be serious people. TP, MM, OOT, ALTTP, WW, SS. BotW isn't even in the running.
^ these guys clearly suck at multi-player games 😂.
I honestly just feel bad for anyone who missed it in the first place. Easily the most fun I've had playing a single player campaign in idk how long. Traded it in while trade value was still good so once it goes on sale I'm def gonna pick it up again.
I notice a lot of slow down too. It's super annoying when I've written a full comment out only to try and post and have my browser completely freeze.
@Old McGroin Honestly the best way to get an opinion about a game is to watch gameplay, trailers and play it yourself if you can. I hardly ever base game purchases on anything other than my opinion alone. I do make one exception to that rule that is Yahtzee who puts out the Zero Punctuation video reviews on escapistmagazine.com. His reviews are hilariously brutal and he really will only endorse games that are unique or great experiences. Granted he will bash almost any game into the ground (i...
@isa_scout I'm sorry but Destiny is the probably the worst example you could have used to make your point. That game started with almost no content and all. And it continued to struggle to put meaningful content out unless it was behind a pay wall. And Destiny's combat is just a shallow mix of rpg and fps elements, with no real focus on character building or gear (except Gjally). The raids were about the only redeeming quality of that game and after each dlc iteration each one before ...
I'm sorry @r2oB but even in the beta alone I've had extremely fun experiences with SoT. You're right, at the end if the day all I have are funny stories to reminisce with my friends about. But isn't that half the fun of Minecraft too? I don't think myself or any of my friends have ever built something truly spectacular in MC but all the dicking around and covering each other's houses in dirt made for a ton of laughs. This is exactly why I find SoT so enjoyable. It'...
Thank you @Doughhead. At least one person here gets it. The game is straight up hilarious when your with a group of friends. Everyone complaining must be going in solo because every time I'm on I'm literally falling out of my seat laughing. What other game can you get completely hammered, shoot yourself out of a cannon, land on an enemy boat and sink it. It's an absolute riot.
8 is probably my favorite FF game just for nostalgia purposes (and the gunblades of course!) but I agree, X-2 was definitely the beginning of the end. Although, I do have to admit the battle system X-2 had was pretty fantastic, but the game itself (story, characters, etc...) was trash. And it's a damn shame that they are so focused on their AAA titles being ARPGs now. I'm literally dreading them remaking FF7 if only for the fact that it won't be turn based 😔
Thank you @slurms. People are just trying to find issues with this game to complain about. The dying penalty makes total sense and I agree should have been part of the game day one.
@chiefJohn117 Exactly man. Why is it that in every Xbox article there are multiple commenters spewing a list of PS exclusives? It's like they are self conscious about their console and need to constantly remind themselves that they have more exclusives than anyone else. Give it a rest already. Not everyone cares about every exclusive Sony has to offer. Just because you like linear story driven games doesn't mean the rest of the world does.
And honestly my friends and I are h...
My favorite is easily Twilight Princess. I loved OOT, MM and WW but it had a darker/grittier spin and what I think is probably the best combat system out of all of them. It's a shame because the darker Zelda titles have a strange ambiance that I feel is lost on the newer titles. And don't even get me started on the travesty that is BotW. So far from a Zelda game it might as well not even share the same name.
Nobody HAS to pay for anything. It's entirely optional and in no way are they forcing this MT. That being said, there are clearly a lot of people paying for these things so if Konami thinks they can make an extra buck by adding it you damn well know they are going to.
The real issue here is that people ARE paying for these things. And companies will continue to do this as long as people continue to pay for them. Simple as that.
I tend to disagree with you most times but I think this post is spot on @wonderful. Sony shouldn't be in any rush to release a new console considering how far they are ahead of Xbox. And it's pretty clear at this point that the Pro and X are going to suffice for all the people looking to play in 4k. Another home console so close to the release of the pro and X would only provide minimal gains and I do not think would be considered "next gen".
Now in terms of mobile ...
