Well said @Krysis.
There are a few things holding VR back. One is definitely immersion. The wires are killer. I used my buddy's vive a few times and the wires were just miserable to deal with every time. Price is definitely another but that will naturally come down as the tech gets more mainstream.
On a completely different note I feel like VR is never really going to excel in the home console space. Ideally it should be like a place that you go to (similar to something like laser tag) b...
Yep Xbox is the devil for doling out features left and right, oh and to top it off they are all FREE! I'm not going to try and sugarcoat the fact that MS exclusives are dwindling but these Sony kids are acting like there are literally 0 games on the Xbox. Horizon, Persona and Bloodborne are the only exclusive titles I've played on my PS4, while on my Xbox I've played Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2. No more and no less for each system. Not all exclusives appeal to eve...
Think what you meant to say was "The best Destiny 2 experience is surely on PC". Cause let's be honest here, PS4 Pro and XOX will never ever be able to compete PC performance. And K&M will always be better to play FPS games with. Every time hands down.
Thank you armyntt. Platform's are irrelevant when you own them all. It must be tough being a broke ass fanboy having to constantly defend your purchases haha.
I don't get this mentality around digital downloads. Mind explaining your point of view? I try to purchase digital any chance I can get just out of sheer convenience. Is there something I am missing?
I beg to differ. Considering I have a Wii U so I've already played Zelda, I would have no other choice then to buy a Switch if they released like a Prime reboot or some form of Metroid FPS. I've been waiting for them to do that since the Wii U came out honestly. Given the right online infrastructure Metroid could be as successful as any other major FPS IP out there. Nothing else on the Switch is worth it to buy an entire console for.
Honestly man I agree that Sony has some great exclusives I mean hell that's why I bought a PS4, but you gotta be patient with game releases. I bought a PS4 years ago and at the time, the only game I even remotely cared about on it was Bloodborne. And after I beat it, the thing sat and collected dust for about 2 years until these passed few months when Horizon and Persona came out. I know it's been said before but let's just see what happens at E3. I'm right there with you if ...
So Nintendo is begging people to do their job for them instead of actually doing it themselves? How many generations have to go by before Nintendo realizes 3rd party support comes after the install base is there. Sony and MS have established that the big multiplats are usually available on their systems and they have the hardware and online infrastructure to back that up. Not to mention that they both support studios to help bring more games into their ecosystem. Nintendo just wants companies...
@bluefox not true. The only games available on both are the MS play anywhere titles. All of the third party exclusives that live on Xbox are still Xbox one exclusives unless the devs decide to make it play anywhere.
Idk man I mean the XB platform is getting more and more robust as the days go on. The Switch is lacking major features that any console in this gen should have (online service, some sort of backwards compatibility/virtual console, party chat, entertainment apps, etc...) I'm not saying those things make or break a game console but those are additional features the competition has and let's face it, the Switch will always be competing with XB and PS4.
A true Pokémon game that sets itself apart from the traditional games would at least make me consider getting one (I'd love for it to be an mmo but I doubt that would happen). That or a Metroid Prime successor. I did love MH3U and giving the Switch a non spin off MH would do wonders as well. Fact is Nintendo has the IPs they just do stupid shit with them. They need to bring their a game with the Switch and not release milked versions of their IPs. A canon Pokémon, Metroid and/or...
@Sono Calamity Gannon was a complete joke for being the end boss which doesn't say much about the rest of the game. I also hated the fact that they just gave you the armor resistant to the element of the location you are in for each divine beast. It's like "Hey check out all these cool weather mechanics you have to craft and use your food for, now take the armor and forget about all that stuff!". Anyone who thinks this game is hard is just bad at video games.
Complete speculation. Nintendo is still supporting the 3DS I mean shit they just released another version of it. I doubt we'll see a canon Pokémon game on the Switch until after they drop support for the 3DS. I doubt the Switch will even surpass Wii U numbers until a new Smash comes out. And considering many Wii U owners like myself can play Zelda on a system we already own, there isn't really much incentive for us to upgrade until then anyways.
@Athos you lost me at "they crank out games like crazy". Nintendo does the exact opposite of crank out games. They release like 4 games an entire console generation and expect that to be enough. Oh and let's take a guess at what they are: Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash, Mario.
When I said I finished every dungeon in 30 minutes time I meant each not all of them in less than 30 minutes. I'm just saying the dungeons were glorified shrines. They weren't as monumental as previous Zelda games.
Very little handholding? The game is easy as fuck man I'm sorry. I beat every dungeon in less than a half hours time, didn't die a single time on any of the boss fights and basically spammed Gannon until the part where it's mandatory you shield parry which, once you get the hang of it, is not even a challenge. Yes the game just lets you go and do whatever you want, but it provided me not a single challenge. Not even once. Horizon's battles had me on my toes the entire time eve...
That's awesome news. Video games that are challenging and make me think I always have ten times more respect for than something I can breeze right through.
Yeah it's ridiculous. Like there's no reason they can't add remote play button remapping or even a feature that has the Vita mirror the TV (similar to the gamepad) but allow DS4 to control it (I also realize there is a workaround for this but still). It astounds me that remote play has so little support because Sony could shove that in Nintendos face with regards to taking games on the go. Everywhere I take my Vita almost 9 times out of 10 I have a WiFi connection strong enough to...
Horizon: Zero Dawn's last boss was such a huge let down. Basically a reskinned deathbringer on a timer. Extremely anticlimactic.
