I know. But it didn't do well in sales, as you pointed out. When the game came out in 1999, the PS1 rpg library was already stacked with quality titles, including two FF and Chrono Cross.
During the PS2 era, however, they focused on publishing third party jrpg titles rather than making their own.

Sony has NEVER HAD FIRST PARTY DEVELOPED RPGS. They have always published them.

look at the context. He means does SONY GAMES (i.e. Sony's First part studios) have any RPGs in development. They are not talking about third party developers, which we know are creating a myriad of RPGs.
As an RPG fan, I'm not worried really. Simply because there are many other games coming down the pipeline.
TBH though, Sony has never had a 1st party RPG team. So this is not surprising.

umm....I'm pretty sure they are going to show it off for PC, not the 360. At least that's my assumption based on the fact its revolving around Vista.

Software sales down across the 360 and PS3 simply because their are no major releases aside from NCAA 2009 (more sold on the 360) and Soul Calibur IV ( a wash between both systems with more to the 360 version in the US )
Hardware sales I'm gonna give to the 360, simply because of the fire sale. But it will not be a significant amount.

I think the worldwide total is almost 3 million units sold for MGS4.
Here's the list of spin by 360 fanboys:
1) hahahahah MGS only sold 775k...FAAAILLL!! Halo sold 3 million its first week and Gears sold over a million!!

Reading some of these comments, I kinda agree with you about people "drinking the kool-aid" with Too Human.

I played through it a couple of times because, according to most it gets better the more you play it. For me, however, it did not.
Now, it wasn't anything about the mechanics of the game, i.e. gameplay, story, etc. Although there were times when, looking at the game, I was like "this is a 360 game?" The game just feels "dead." It feels like, ok..this is it? Its hard to describe but it felt like I was forcin...

Kinda like how UT III was billed as being on the PS3 "exclusively" in the Fall 2007? In fact, I seem to recall Epic going as far as saying that it wasn't even started on the 360, despite the fact it had been demoed on the 360 not more than 3 months prior to the announcement.
Or like how Bioshock was "exclusively" on the 360? Even though there were files on the disk of a PS3 version that the developers denied was in production.

Star Ocean III was on PS2. It's a good entry, but could have been much better. Still a good game though.
Also, I say pick up 1 and 2 for the PSP (if you have one). They are a little old school but totally worth it.

But if you (the general use of "you") have an IQ above 70, its called "paying a s*** load of money" for, at the very least, timed exclusives.
I think it might be the Master Chief-less, squad based shooter. If it's done in the style of GRAW, it might be pretty cool. But if they do that, then it should be about 90% multiplayer focus. Because frankly, that's the big selling point for the series.
Regardless, it will be a smash simply because it has "Halo" in the title.
I mean, it could be a an hour game in length, basic multiplayer with one mode, and star a bunch of marshmallow Peeps wielding assaul...
I think they should have shown it. At least it would have made sense to show an actual MS published title other than Gears.

Except the original rumor was started by Surfer Girl back in March. The reason for Sony stopping the funding was bc of the bad blood between Phil Harrison and the President of Bondi.
But what's this...Phil Harrison is no longer head of Sony. In fact, he left shortly after this supposed breakdown between the two entities.
