Is the PS4 stuttering issue pre patch or post patch? Lets hope this gets fixed.

Yes it looks like it. I think they proably reduced AF on the XB1.

According to some reviewers the PS4 has an OS bug which is why some games dont support AF. Witcher 3 on the PS4 might not be having AF to begin with.

There is not much difference pre patch and post patch in terms of frame rate on the XB1.

Rather because the game is averaging around 30-35 fps, it feels jittery when you are changing camera angles.

I suppose you can expect the same on the PS4 version. Since PS4 is about 1.5X more powerful than the XB1 however it will be rendering a higher resolution too. Hence the patch probably wont fix much on the PS4 either.

On the PC though because people...

Be prepared for 600usd consoles next gen then. Dont expect PC gamers to fund the next round of tech.

@DirtyPimp

You do realise we have a very delicate gaming ecosystem. Where PC is at the top of the Food chain when it comes to tech.

If games wont take advantage of the PC tech, then PC gamers wont spend on new tech either. Which will result in Nvidia AMD not having the funds to R&D new tech.

Which will finally result in either Nvidia AMD going out of business and console makers having to research their own hardware everytime they want to ...

@Vicker

Does the 1080p Smart TV come with console too?

3922d ago 21 agree9 disagreeView comment

Well my CPU and Motherboard are from 2009. I5 750 oced to 4.5ghz

The only thing i bought for my PC this gen is a GTX 980. Cost me about the price of a console, yet can play all my old games and plays new games better than console. So how is that a bad decision?

3922d ago 16 agree7 disagreeView comment

So cheaper than getting a TV lol.

3922d ago 13 agree6 disagreeView comment

Looks like CP sold out to MS and Sony. Cancelled my Pre order on Steam.

Will buy this once the modders have fixed this at a much lower price.

Agreed lol, i am not watching any of the Witcher 3 videos. Media black out it is.

My reply was intended for 2pac. Why bring up console on a PC thread anyways? Its the same as those PC elitists you complain about trolling console articles. This is no different.

Exactly Why include 75usd heat sink and 125usd SSD. Those are totally pointless.

Add 125usd SSD to a console and it becomes 500usd+ its only a luxury and totally pointless for most people.

3929d ago 4 agree7 disagreeView comment

Well look at the build, it has many unnecessary things in there.

If you are trying to make it cost effective, why include:

SSD or Custom Heat sink in there, you could easily shave those 200usd off right there.

So thats about 844usd. Now consider that gaming online is free on PC. With any console you need to pay 50usd to go online. Add few years of that on the console price.

PC games are cheaper. I bought Witcher 3 on the PC f...

Thats nothing new, the paid media almost always tries to make the console version look better than it really is.

Making it look just one step below the PC version just serves their purpose to provide lip service to Sony. Todays media is only good to give these corporations hand jobs under the table.

They did the same with games like Dragon age 3. Claiming Da3 to be on par with PC at high settings, when the game released it was more ...

It will easily last 4+ years. Understand games are designed with consoles in mind. Console hardware doesnt magically increase in power year on year.

Infact over the years its a trend console resolutions go down. Check what happened last gen. Thats the way consoles keep up.

So yea your GTX 970 maybe doing 1440p easily for now, later on in the gen it might be doing 1080p, will still be ahead of any console thats for sure.

"they should be the example devs should follow."

We could hope for such an out come, however CDProject is still new to the console gold rush where developers sell content as DLC already present on Disk or the fact they purposely dont give consoles mod capability so the games get old and make way for the next release.

Quite different from the classic PC gaming way, where gamers are given full mod capability. We never had silly DLCs such as Weapons sk...

"I can't afford a PC"

Please that excuse is lame and doesnt fit, PC being expensive was true back in the early 2000's when games actually had major graphical leaps every 1-2 years. Games now cater to the lowest denominator consoles. Hence dont progress much over a decade. If games dont progress PC doesnt need constant upgrades either like it did previously.

With all the nickle diming and hidden costs consoles come with, consoles are now easi...

Console gamers do not despair i am sure a remake running at ultra settings 1080p 60fps will be made available at the starting of another gen (PS5, XB2).

Hell i wouldnt be surprised if you get a remake again by the time PS6/XB3 is released so you can finally enjoy the game in 4k.

3958d ago 17 agree13 disagreeView comment

How so? sure in console terms PS4 is more powerful than the XB1, however console gamers tend to blow the differences out of proportion.

In PC hardware terms the differences between PS4 and Xb1 would be considered minimal. PS4 has more foliage and better lense flair effects, not to mention a more stable frame rate. The minimal performance difference between the consoles justifies this improvement. I just dont see how the PS4 version could have been any better had there been o...

1. PC gamers enjoy the freedom PC platform offers. That doesnt mean to abusing something. Pirating is a thing of the past specially with the benefits a service like Steam provides, or the fact most games have gone online and pirating just doesnt work any more. This is different then Sony and MS abusing console gamers making them pay to go online.

2. Bringing up PC piracy which is a different topic in it self and making that as a reasoning to pa...
