It was fun 12 years ago. Sadly like most XBL games I bought the retro novelty factor soon wore off and I was left wishing I hadn't wasted my money. Contrast that to the Playstation Network's recent release of Wipeout HD which for £11.99 will give many more hours of gaming offline and online.

Yet another great title on the PS Network, Wipeout HD is worth every penny! A must for any PS3 owner.

I don't see why its so hilarious. As multicore CPU's become more commonplace why not have a core running graphics? Intel may be leading the way but you can bet AMD will be developing their own CPU's with similar capabilities afterall they bought ATi. If anyone should be nervous its nVidia who could find themselves going the way of 3DFx - and I say that as a long time nVidia user who recently again chose an nVidia chipset over ATi's offerings.

No the difference is Microsoft has been shedding its internal studio's like a mangy dog sheds its coat where as Sony continues to support its studio's and we see the fruits of their labour in the form of great games like Wipeout. Titles like this and Warhawk show how the Playstation network stands head and shoulders about the MS Marketplace which is full of poor arcade conversions.

As a PS3 fan I'm dissapointed they couldn't find the budget to go multi platform but we still have plenty of good racing games including the mighty GT5. Reading between the lines you could wonder if Microsoft is not supporting them as much as they would like else he'd be saying "Microsoft as a platform holder have been very supportive" instead he says "it could also be interesting to be exclusive on one platform, if the support from the platform holder is good." *if* being...

If you've never played it you will never understand. I used to watch my son playing it and wonder where the fun was then started playing myself and became hooked. I've got friends that have got into serious relationship trouble over their Football Manager addictions.

In my opinion Armed Assault was another PC title in a long line of release sthat was buggy, full of glitches and poorly optimised. Great looking still shots but wait till you see the men moving like they are wearing adult diapers. Of course when the game stops juddering and jerking you'll find yourself mildly dissapointed by the AI which swings between all out stupid to uber sniper that can spot you in an instant through bushes and tree's.

PS3 sales start to take off, Blu-Ray wins the format war and now a small US company decides to take legal action. I wonder if they are getting a little helping hand here with costs from a certain software/hardware company also based in the US.

Its ridiculous to start blaming fanboi's for an issue thats as plain as the nose on your face. There are plenty of negative articles posted for the PS3 and 360 but this one depends on how you look upon the article. You could view it as being positive that if enough pressure is put on Microsoft they will have a more open approach to peripherals when they design the next XBOX console. Wouldn't you like an alternative to the overpriced peripherals now?

As a 360 owner I got fed up ...

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if someone had hacked into his account, afterall this is Microsoft we are talking about. Look at their OS's, they release one then spend years trying to fill in all the security holes.

That said this could well be some kid picking a ridiculously simple password like his dogs name or some other easy to guess password.

The 360 (and soon) the Ps3 have keypads that would make it ideal for WoW. I have a PC capable but I'd love to play it from the comfort of my sofa on a large screen TV. WoW will take some beating but with more and more MMORPG's being released you'd think they would want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible to mainain that top spot.

Game Park seem to be stuck in a GroundHog day loop, they release a pretty nice piece of hardware but don't have any must have games/apps and so their console fails each time and I don't see this new offering breaking that cycle for them.

yeah dead link here too so can't read the article, Double Dragon is the picture for the N4G article but that had two sequels.

If Intel is serious about getting into the GPU market nVidia and ATi/AMD should be worried.

@10.8 > No its not flawless from the developers point of view as you can still make a free PSN ID, fill a HDD full of your backed up games and then pass it on to someone else who gets a HDD full of free games, all he has to do is log in with the PSN username the pirate supplies him with when he buys the HDD full of backups.

@10.9 > The likes of Gamestop (and GAME and Gamestation here in the UK) have RRP's from the publisher, no publisher is going to have their sales dente...

The game disc being tied to the PS3 was a story bandied about before the PS3 launched and it didn't go down well. People were concerned about not being able to take a game to a friends house and play it there but then you could just log in with your account on their machine but then if you wanted to pirate the game why not just make an account and pass it on with that users account. You could pass on a whole 320GB HDD full of games linked to one disposable PSN account as it costs nothign to s...
