Oh I forgot about VC! Man, when that character died, it was so hard to believe it was happening.
I would enjoy it if more games had more emotional stories but it's kinda coming true. From RDR to LA Noire, HL2 ep2 to The Darkness and even as recently as inFamous 2 and Resistance 3; all those games made you bond with characters only to leave you with a gaping wound when they're taken away from you.
It feels like more and more games are focusing on giving you better characters and higher quality stories.
It says $20 doesn't it?
Kinda expensive.
Remember when downloadable games were all $10. Then $15. Now so many are $20.
If you get the Jecht Shot in that small mini game when you're on the boat, blitz ball is a lot more manageable. It's actually pretty fun.
I hated blitz ball the first few playthroughs but my friend told me how to get the Jecht Shot and then I loved it.
Oh I can't wait till FFX HD comes out now...
Haha, I was always reminded of Jak3 when I saw Rage.
Miss those old platformers...
That's what I always say. Just cause a few rich companies want the PS4 and 720 doesn't mean smaller ones want it. They'll all close under the weight of developing for even more powerful things.
Greedy people's eyes are bigger than their stomach.
edit: And this is sad. I liked Enslaved. The ending was like a punch to the stomach and the acting was very very good. I bought it for $60 and never felt cheated.
I think it was the theater mode that did it.
And (though CoD4 came very close) CoD will never pass GTA quality wise.
Though GTA losing its crown is somewhat arguable. Look at RDR and LA Noire as the "distractions" between GTA releases and they still sold well. People love them some R*.

You just have a great taste in games huh?
They do seem like they make better games on a handheld. KH BBS was ridiculously good.
I liked FFXIII. It wasn't the best game ever but it didn't have terrible flaws like they make it out to have. It's just hard to match up to BBS.
And CoD gets a tremendous amount of hate in every article on n4g.
Also, a lot of people have been on shaky grounds with square since enix came into play. I thought FFXII was much worse (just no f...

Building an engine for a game takes longer than actually making a game. That's why most sequels come out quicker than the original game.
Regardless though, after R3's ending, I kinda can't imagine a R4 (pay attention to the credits).
Still, Insomniac deserves better than even double those sales numbers. Games with no heart that are generic sequels in a tired modern-warfare-in-a-desert-wit h-a-boring-m16 genre get so much hype but a game with creative guns with a good story get basically overlooked.
@ dangert
Not alone there, Crysis 2 was one of the most disappointing games of the year to me. The apparently good graphics were left bare by a boring artstyle and the gameplay was flat out boring.
HF wasn't great but it had potential to be great. Now...I stopped caring unless they really step up.
Hey, it's better than selling it for $5-20 right?
You know...I kinda want this game now.
I wonder, would the name be translated when it comes stateside?
Haha,
*applause*
Haha, that's a good response.
And people who need good graphics are just kinda depressing. Yeah their nice but come on, is it really that big a concern? 3D is for people who are easily wowed at things shooting out at them and can't be bothered to find interest in good stories.
Are we really that fickle? I never once stopped in R3 and thought that the graphics could be better or that this would be so much better in 3d or something. It's dep...
Yeah inFamous 2 had pretty good endings though I favor the good ending.
And I hate the setup that these articles have. It should be the game's name in BOLD and then the spoiler in smaller print. How stupid are they? If you finished the game, the you know you can read closer, if not then you can skip it with your eyes.
It's just common sense.
Except I loved Kane and Lynch 2.
I might just be the only person on earth that did but still. Had a great tone to it.
@ Micro_Sony
Whoa that's so far from the truth it hurts. How is CoD's milking anyway close to GTA? The series has always* been good regardless of the minor flaws you don't like.
And yeah, as shown by RDR and LA Noire (and GTA Vice City Stories on the PSP as a precursor [that no one noticed] of things to come), R* grew up. Love it or hate it, they did. If you hate it, then I guess it's one of those games you shouldn't buy. In the same ...
Well, Hollywood has a bit of a better grasp on making you sad or cry.
From Up to Pan's Labyrinth, Schindler's List, Million Dollar Baby, as far back as The Champ, The Wrestler, Mary and Max, The Pursuit of Happyness is unrelenting, The Passion of the Christ and the list just goes on.
People give Hollywood such a hard time and yet the only movies they see are the same Transformers/superhero/stupid comedy routines that are blasted by critics. Open y...
