That's not true at all. Jim sterling clearly gives his reasons why he didn't really have much fun with Gears 3. One of them was how he didn't like the lambent (or whatever it was, I haven't played 3, just 2 when they come out for like the last hour) and how they weren't fun to fight against like the past locust.
Either way, somehow we all knew all 4 one wouldn't be too great. And that's coming from a huge* R&C fan. ...
Don't get anyone wrong. There are a few extremely weird and awkward moments throughout the whole 70 hour game (the infamous laughing scene and my personal most hated chanting on the mountain thing (that whole level kinda sucks and ends with one of the hardest bosses of the game). And it starts a little* slow.
But that's all. The rest of the game is pure jrpg and ps2 bliss. If you like rpgs (and it was my first jrpg and I hated jrpgs when my friend let me borrow ...
Yeah, at this point it's common practice.
Haha, but, time for somewhat shamed self advertising. I wasn't planning on buying Batman AC (can't afford it). But I preordered it on amazon months ago and forgot. Now yesterday I get an email saying it shipped from amazon. So I didn't wanna wait 2 weeks for amazon to refund me so I put it up on ebay with the amazon exclusive comic book and I threw in my Batman graphic novel book by Frank Miller.
S...
Haha, that was a fun read. Always loved Captain Qwark and this was a whole article devoted to him.
Hope I can afford to get the next R&C soon.
Well, that's not a traditional jrpg really. It almost feels like an action rpg made by a western developer.
This is more like a traditional jrpg with the looks and everything.
Both are good of course but they're different styles than everyone here is talking about.
I remember loving the story in Batman Vengence. It was frustrating but I kept playing for the story and loved it.
Peacemaker I believe.
I do miss Jak and Daxter.
Though I'd rather a new ip than ND go back to Jak. Not to say I wouldn't buy it day 1 but I feel the story (that was pretty intricate) was finished in Jak 3.
And I'd say...Ratchet would win on sheer firepower alone.
Depends...yeah. Except the dlc is included with the $15. There is a deal in there.
Double Fine deserves it anyways.
Exactly. It's not hate, it's just unease. It feels like the great developer we all loved is slipping away from us slowly.
I honestly never bought into Rage. It just never seemed good to me.
Always said id are great on the technical side but the gameplay and story just seem lacking. And now I guess I was wrong about the technical side.
edit: @ below
Yeah but I can barely care about graphics. I'm sure it's good for id but there's too little money in the world to buy Rage.
Yeah Lair was pretty terrible because of that. I just gave up on it cause it wasn't worth it. I never could figure out what was going on because there wasn't an actual radar and that dragon vision was a poor substitute.
Honestly, Lair deserved all the 6s it got.
And yeah, 3D Dot Game Heroes was really fun. Everyone should look it up. It's about $10 on ebay.
I bought this on psn a few months ago and saved it till halloween time. Just finished it yesterday and it was really fun.
I do hope there's more Double Fine news than that though. They said multiple announcements.
Yup, there's a huge lack of jrpgs on current gen consoles. Honestly, unless I happen to be very broke when it releases, this'll probably be a day 1 buy.
First time using steam was Super Meat Boy for $7.50. Some of the best $7.50 I ever spent.
Yeah, that's sad. Insomniac are the most stand up people in the games industry. Their games are consistently great and they're great people.
It's sad. Sure, they're probably selling a lot over the long haul but how is dead island more deserving? How? How?
*sigh*
Haha, I don't know why people view reviews as absolutely worthless. They're worth something just to understand what you're getting. You might have gripes with certain reviewers but you should be on the same page as a few of them.
But regardless, thank God for naughty dog. They understand that you have to keep story stuff close to their chest cause story is one of the biggest reasons for me playing games. I respect that.
Yeah, don't agree with the article and a grammar mistake in the title...yeah, bad article.
You can pick it up on eBay for really cheap nowadays (or in my eBay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/PS3... *cough* shameless advertising *cough*)
It's a flawed game but it's still really good.
Well the marketing has left me just...I don't know, it's left a bad taste in my mouth cause I hate seeing anything specific about a game before I play it. And these people forced me into seeing so much of this game just on the titles of articles. I haven't seen any of the videos, just the article titles and the game feels almost spoiled. And when I see real spoilers, I can't unthink them the whole time I play/watch something.
Also, the millions of costume...
Yup, the controls are pitch perfect in every single way. It barely even feels like you have a controller in your hands.
The only thing that felt like it needed more work was the ladder animations. That just looked a little odd.
