Yeah this struck me just the other day actually. That's why, besides a few games that I wanna have day 1, I'm staying away from $60 games for awhile.
For the past 3 months I've been playing old budget titles (the darkness is very* flawed but very good) and using gamefly (it's literally the best deal ever, if a friend refers you, you can get 3 months of gamefly for $17! I've saved nearly $190 in 3 months! ask about it if you're interested) and I'...
@KFox
Whew you're on a roll with these. But I guess you really give your reasons for it. Thoroughly.
The Uncharted series problem is the assault rifles don't feel as effective as the pistols but it's hardly a terrible problem as they get the job done. And the story lends itself to the adventure for it. You're not exploring a new world but you always feel like you're doing something new or mysterious in it. And I like the platforming...
Well, the 3DS thing looked bad for a bit and the WiiU just left everyone scratching their heads.
So yeah.
They won't or it'll steal XIII-2's thunder. Unless it's a very short trailer.
But I doubt it. Expect a late 2012/early 2013 release date with a formal reveal sometime after XIII-2 releases.
And people get so dramatic with vsXIII...
But Saladfax does have a point. Only CoD, BF and a couple others sell on mp alone. But people can only spend so much time on so many mp games so only a few will sell well.
But there's always more singleplayer games to play.
So yeah.
Yup. People can say singleplayer is in decline but there are still many many singleplayer only games being made that sell well.
LA Noire, Skyrim, Batman, Deus Ex ect are big games solely devoted to singleplayer. And then there are singleplayer games who add multiplayer and it doesn't subtract anything like Uncharted, Assassin's Creed ect.
All depends on the game.
And with the advances that video game storytelling has made rece...
That it costs more per month than gamefly now.
That just doesn't make sense.
Exactly. Two old out of shape guys are never the focus of video games. Part 1 was pretty decent (loved when you got knocked down and started hearing old memories) but it ends suddenly as a (subpar) military shooter.
And I just loved part 2. It wasn't perfect but I loved it anyways. The gritty style, the characters just all fit.
I probably love the idea of K&L more than I actually love K&L itself but regardless, I really like the games. Pa...
Just Cause 2 for $20 is really tempting. But I just bought a few games on eBay for $20.
Gotta think about it.
Even more interested now that I know it's not a co op game. Typically only play singleplayer games.
I just want Portal 1 as a downloadable stand alone game on the ps store. The Orange Box on the PS3 is so rare and a lot of PS3 owners missed out on it.
Millions would buy it (regardless about pc, a lot of console owners have never tried pc gaming).
Well, I don't really agree with it but I think it's trying to say that the cutscenes in the game should be less just watch them cutscenes and more playable storytelling (kinda like Half Life) but there are different flavors for different games. Not necessary.
And as far as jarring goes, Uncharted's lack of loading makes it the least jarring cutscenes among the rest of the games nowadays (since 99% of games use the same basic setup).
And plus,...
Haha, was forced to play this by a friend and ended up loving it. Can't wait for this.
Well, I never played the old ones so I guess it'd really be no difference to me in the end. Don't have the nostalgia factor that a lot of people would have.
So yay for never playing it. It actually turned into a plus for once.
"The Chronicles of Riddick new game in the works along with movie"
Really? Never heard of that. It sucks that Chronicles of Riddick didn't sell too hot cause Vin Diesel really seems interested in games and seems like a nice guy.
(*cough* http://www.amazon.com/Chron......
This list pretty much hits it on the head. Mirror's Edge was good for 2 and 1/8 levels,
then tried convincing you to not play it for the next ~6 hours.
Chronicles of Riddick is still on my todo list (*cough* http://www.amazon.com/Chron... *cough*) and seems overlooked by it's goo...
Oh I know how g4 is. But what you just described about him means he's not a fanboy. It means he's a human who likes some stuff and other stuff he doesn't. I have a preference to my PS3 but that doesn't mean I hate my 360. It's just how normal people are.
Haha, and yeah I know about his stories with his brother with Ghost and Ghouls. I just meant that year it was his favorite game. Typo or mistake or whatever that could be categorized into.
Agree 100%. The world was barren but it all had a perfect atmosphere to it. Nothing was there but something once was. Set a perfect tone.
Loved FO3 and it could've been better in many ways but I never thought about the negatives while playing.
Adam Sessler's favorite game is Uncharted 2. And if you watch his weekly shows, he really doesn't show any fanboyism. In fact, Morgan Webb shows more preference to a certain major platform. He's really one of the only guys in gaming journalism that is trustworthy. He just likes games regardless of platform.
Look it up.
3D is far from perfected.
And it's gimmicky.
Looking forward for the vita though.
