It has no momentum. The game has a MASSIVE player base but the players are slowly starting to leave. Blizzard already said the game hasn't grown player wise in about 2 years. They also said most people who play quit rather quickly. At this point the only reason WoW is staying alive is because of the MASSIVE player base it had to begin with. The game can sustain itself for quite awhile even if people start to leave en mass simply because there are so many people playing it.

Anyway I'm hoping we get some good news about the game at E3. I would like to see the game being played at the Sony press conference just so people can see it running on PS3. I would also like more info about when the Beta will expand and if the game is gonna meet it's 2010 release date or if it needs to be delayed. No actually they should do it. This is a ADAPTATION! The reason 90% of video game to film movies suck is because they simply either change everything or change nothing and both end up causing things to fail. You cannot make the game the movie and likewise you cannot make the movie and use the name only.

My main problem with her as Sonya is again if there is any fight scenes for her. As far as I know she is not a fighter or stunt person so she will have to have a stunt double and in fight scenes like the one we saw in the short you would EASILY be able to tell it wasen't her which takes away from the experience.

My bet is they will announce it at E3 for a quick release a few weeks to a month after the show. Makes the most sense. I can't wait to play it on PS3 and see all the new stuff added and all the extra voice over they added(which was supposed to be a crap load if I remember correctly.
The only thing I would change in the casting is Jeri Ryan playing Sonya Blade. She doesn't fit well enough and assuming Sonya has any fight scenes she would not be able to do it without a obvious stunt double. Being that this is just a short it would be easy to recast that if the movie gets picked up.

I don't think it's gonna happen for obvious reasons. The redesign would more then likely have to use a new hard drive which would case confusion(if you look at the current 360's they are about as think as the hard drive). Pretty much everything you listed wasn't created with a engine. It was CG. The characters and backgrounds of Advent Children were CG. Making them completely useless for anything other then a cut scene and seeing as how characters are designed differently(costumes and what not) it would not make sense to re use those in a remake. I have more then 100 hours into FFXIII and it's never froze at all. It's BS. Someone just happened to have a PS3 die while playing FFXIII and they say that was the cause. It's retarded.
Interesting it says the battle system is very in depth. Alot of critics of the game seem to think the game is boring but if it has a very deep battle system it will be all but boring.

Ok maybe I'm just blind but I didn't see mention of SE anywhere in that video. How do people even know this is related to them? All I saw was a big blurry screen with a trailer for a game. The only logos I saw were the games title and the ESRB rating thing at the end.

That's not necessarily true. There are PLENTY of games in SE's back catalog we have not seen in awhile that would make people do a double take if we got a sequel. The Chrono series is one. Perhaps a Vagrant story sequel.
That's certainly possible. They never did anything with that secret ending. The only thing is that I was under the idea that Project X was a western made game and I HIGHLY doubt SE would let a western dev do the full blown sequel to final fantasy VII
To me it seems as if Mm made the creator deep enough to make funny gag characters for yourself but not deep enough to recreate original character from other games. Just so they could make you buy them if you wanted them.
Whereas MNR is so deep you can make pretty much any character given enough time.
I loved Final Fantasy XIII as well. I thought it was great. Certainly different then past Final Fantasy games but still incredible nonetheless.
The problem was people hyped the game up to no end and then when some parts of the game were not to their liking they blew them WAY out of proportion. Final Fantasy X was also quite a linear game. It did have towns and all that but was still quite linear. Yet no one complained about it back then.
