If Kinect works or not it's not Innovating. It's simply rehashing what Sony did with Eye Toy with slightly better tech. So far from the reaction to it it seems as if it will be just as successful as Eye Toy meaning not at all.
PS Move IS a Wii HD but that's not even a bad thing as the Wii has been a proven success and there ARE games on the Wii that could be made better in HD like No More Heros, Madworld and Muramasa.
Now I get what people are saying. That you don't move it while it's reading. I 100% agree with that. However the fact that it still destroys discs if you do it makes me worry if it will randomly destroys discs when you don't even touch it.
If it does then it proves MS has learned nothing.
Yeah it's quite true that neither Nintendo nor Sony have to really do much to totally shame MS. Nintendo alone more or less already has that in the bag as we will be learning about the 3DS which is a big deal in and of itself and that's not even counting stuff like Pikmin 3 and the New Zelda.
Sony as you said could do nothing but show footage of the games they have ALREADY announced and that will be enough but all signs point to them having quite a few surprises up t...
It was said in a flamebait way for sure. But point is it's exactly right. Nothing we have seen from Kinect seems good. It's all Eye Toy rehash games or games that just look uninspired and not fun at all.
The only thing based on the press event it did well was navigating menus which is still MUCH quicker and easier with a real controller so that coupled with the rumored price point makes you wonder why they even bothered doing this at all. It's utterly pointless. ...
This is really stupid. I know it's not that much to pay for the cable and all that but based on the size of the new Xbox they could have used the old Hard drives if they wanted to which means they did this for the sole purpose of making those die hards who already own a 360 and are gonna buy a new one pay more money by needing to buy another cable they will only use ONCE.
It's just stupid.
The fact that the price was not announced at E3 means it's more then likely to high. Which means MS knows it's to high and to avoid a bad PR fiasco they are not announcing it during the biggest show gaming has to offer.
They will announce it later and try to pass it off as a good price point despite being to high and if it's to high less people will be aware of it due to it not being announced at high profile event. Honestly I would not be surprised if they revea...
It's interesting you bring up that you didn't expect it to look like the CGI trailer. While it's obvious a game will never look THAT good The Old Republic is very weak graphically.
Compare it to something like Final Fantasy XIV where people had trouble telling what was CGI and what was in engine during the games first trailer and it's quite disappointing to say the least. More so when you consider the amount of money and effort being put into The Old Republic...
Everything I have seen thus far is VERY underwhelming. They are just getting to the end of the Kinect portion of the Press Conference and nothing is really all that good. It's stuff that has either been done before on Eye Toy or just straight up stupid and not impressive.
In all Honesty Kinect seems better as a NON gaming device. The stuff it seems to do well is the stuff that isn't part of a game like navigating Xbox Live and even that is pointless as a real control...
That's so stupid. It was pre recorded because it wasn't for us? Really? That's retarded. The fact of the matter is either MS doesn't have confidence in it's own product to work as advertised which then dooms it to failure because why would a company not have confidence in it's own product.
Or it really CAN"T do what they say it can and they are showing fake footage to fool people until it comes out sells a ton and then dies off quickly as people ...
Yeah it has never made sense why they do this. It's needless false hype. This game in particular doesn't need hype. It's a Star Wars game. Fans of the franchise will flock to it so you don't need to hype it up by showing something the game will never be.
I understand having something like this in the game itself to kinda explain the story and what not and nearly every MMO does that but don't hype the game up with this. It sets expectations way to high. <...
Honestly Yakuza is pretty much the spiritual successor of Shenmue. If Sega was to remake Shenmue all they would need to do is make it like Yakuza only with Shenmue's characters and storyline and BOOM instant hit.
On topic. Pretty good list although They are missing Powerstone. There is another game I would love to see but the name escapes me at the moment. It was a survival horror game. It probably would not hold up well today but whatever I would still like to see it.
I would be willing to bet that neither of that game nearly as much as they are made out to.
And personally I don't like either of them. Morgan has these little rants on X-play and almost NEVER does her research about her rant topic making herself look like a idiot. She also looks way to manish for me. Ick at her jaw line.
Munn on the other hand while mildly attractive does the most disgusting things on a regular basis causing me to just completely ignore...
Honestly I don't think they need to talk.
It's this simple. They have announced the 3DS and we know we are gonna see more at E3. That's all I need to know. I care about nothing from Nintendo at this point but learning more about the 3DS what it's gonna do how much it's gonna cost and when it's coming. Alot of people probably feel the same.
Other stuff like new games like Pikmin 3 and the new Zelda are the just icing on the cake.
After seeing the video I couldn't help but think they should not have shown it off this year. They should have waited till next E3 or at least TGS.
While the game looks to be impressive it's SO early it doesn't make people go HOLY CRAP like it should. The graphics are weak and will likely be MUCH stronger when it's closer to release and the game overall looked really rough.
I know they wanted to hype it up a bit but I really think they shoul...
2 main reasons why they don't do that.
1 Beowulf was VERY expensive. Most video game movies have failed and so no studio will give a game movie the budget it would need to do that.
2 Beowulf still wasen't very good in it's CG. It had that creepy uncanny valley look and I would not want to see that in every single game based movie. Doing it in a more stylized way like how SE did Advent Children would be a better idea but not every game is suited fo...
The way I understand the interview they had with the director of the short he would not make the movie unless they allowed him to make it very R rated. He doesn't want it to be PG-13 like the original movies he wants it gory violent and he said it plans to include fatalities wherever possible.
Personally I am REALLY excited and hope they approve it and we get this movie and fast. It was a incredible short and it held ALOT of promise. If the movie got made and the entire ...
The list is a bit off. It says Final Fantasy XIV is coming to PS3 PC and 360 and at this point in time the official site still says PS3 and PC only.
There is a real good chance that it will be announced as coming to 360 during E3 but as of now it's still PS3 exclusive on the console side.
Anyway the only game I really want to see at E3 is Persona 5 and I think it's pretty unlikely. It will most likely be at TGS later this year.
Honestly if it's about Natal I can't see it being anything big. I would LOVE to believe Natal can do something for the Core or Hardcore gamers out there but I don't think it will. And without that there is no reason for anyone to care about anything related to Natal until MS can prove to us that it can be of use to real gamers.
Notice how it's gotten to the point on N4G that you cannot say ANYTHING good about Final Fantasy XIII(or SE for that matter) without getting flamed or mass amounts of disagrees.
I could have left my comment at "I loved Final Fantasy XIII as well. I thought it was great. Certainly different then past Final Fantasy games but still incredible nonetheless."
Because that is a positive sentence about the game I would get nothing but disagrees.
...
The end is what made me the maddest. It was obvious that MS thought they could basically pay off the media by giving away free 360's ala Oprah.
The other thing that made me angry was despite MS's CONSTANT insistence that Natal would not be JUST casual focused they showed nothing to prove that. It was just a disappointment. There was really no surprises.
