If anything Final Fantasy VII related should be on the list it should be the Crisis Core ending. It's easily one of the best video game endings of all time. Even knowing how it ends the ending is still incredible.
After seeing game play footage for what is going to be the beta I can tell you(as someone who has played FFXI for nearly 8 years) that combat in Final Fantasy XIV is NOTHING like XI. It's faster and the way it works is also completely different with things relying on a action gauge that is constantly charging(think a MMO version of the ATB system from other FF's)
5 bucks for a mediocre game is still a waste. No reason to waste time and money. Just wait for Ghost of Sparta.
Comparing this to God of War in anyway is just a bad idea. God of War is epic and intense and this looks like crap sorry to say. The game has horrible graphics when compared to God of War(PSP or PS3) the game play doesn't look very good and the animations look horrible.
Really this just looks so mediocre it's sad.
While I understand the idea of making the game easier to run so the younger crowd without powerhouse PC's can play it I still think it's a horrible idea.
The game will end up looking dated very quickly and it will take ALOT more to keep people playing a dated game. By default The Old Republic already looks very dated thanks to Final Fantasy XIV.
If they designed the game well enough they could have made it look very good and still have low requiremen...
yeah and you don't need to at all. One character can play all the jobs simply by switching. It's not like other game where you need to make a new character to play another class. Everyone can be done on a single character.
Personally I never felt as if Final Fantasy XIII was a chore.
The first few hours of the game the dynamic fast paced combat alone kept me from getting that feeling and then just when it started to get old and chore like new things were introduced that you needed to master(new paradigms and tactics and whatnot) and that pattern continues until you reach Gran Pulse at which point the game opens up so much it can't possibly feel like a chore.

I didn't think we would be seeing that anytime soon for various reasons and he basically just confirmed it would be at TGS. Awesome TGS is really shaping up to be better then E3 for RPG fans.
Yeah I agree that the old republic looks pretty bad. Alot of people have the defense of it being a MMO but that's no longer a excuse when games like Aion and now Final Fantasy XIV look as good as they do. They are proving MMO's don't have to be ugly.
They are focusing on gimmick things like full voice(imo you only need it in story line sequences) instead of focusing on the way the game looks. Which id doubly bad for people who get hyped up by those incredible CG t...
A few years ago SE added a system into Final Fantasy XI called Fields of Valor which allowed players to go solo and gain exp from doing little mini quests.
Final Fantasy XIV seems to be using a more in depth and diverse version of this system and they are calling it Guildleves. It seems to me the game will be about the same in terms of needing to party but with the Guildleves system it will allowing players to solo from the start if they so wish.
I am hoping to see Versus shown at TGS and I mean really shown not in the closed theater that normal people don't ever get to see. I want something released for everyone to see. Preferably game play footage.
I also want more details on The Last Guardian. Maybe see some game play and hope for a release date that's not super fare away.
The last thing I really wanna see is a formal announcement of Persona 5.

yeah the 75$ price range sounds pretty good but I don't think they will be able to reach that without taking a loss which I don't think they wanna do.

While I agree what was done with the .Hack series was shameless I don't agree with the rest of the games you listed.
Mass Effect, God of War and Assassin's Creed were all HUGE finished games. There would have been no way they could have combined them and sold them as a single game. Hence the planned trilogy.
Planning a trilogy is a good idea in my opinion as it helps to plan ahead in terms of the story and if something game play wise doesn't work...
There are a lot of HD collections I would love to see but my question is if they are only gonna be Sony IP's or if Sony is going to offer other devs the chance to do HD collections of their series. Alot of the stuff people want now with the exception of a Team ICO collection wasen't done by Sony so I wonder if we ever even have a chance of seeing the stuff we want.

It's probably neither of the games they think it might be. KH3 isn't coming for awhile Nomura already said there are more games in the series being planned but none of them are KH3 so yeah it's not a FF7 remake and it's not KH3. More likely it's a unexpected sequel or something completely new.
I can't stand Kanye West. That pile can't sing(uses Auto tune in 90% of the songs he does which means he has no talent) and acts like a total ass whenever he gets a chance.
Kojima has created some of the best games ever made and has incredible visions and is a real genius when it comes to creating good games. There is NO comparison.
Looks awesome. The combat looks like it moves MUCH faster. Which is impressive considering alot of the abilities and what not are not even in the game yet so it will probably bit even faster paced in the final version. There is also feed back from the beta to consider so I am sure the game will be great once it finally ships.
Personally I think the lighting looks much better because it's more realistic. Most of the places that looked much darker were indoor areas that didn't have many lights and it seemed the lights and shadows worked in a much more realistic way which of course would make the game darker as a tiny little light isn't gonna light up a massive room like the sun which is basically what it looked like in the alpha.
I think when it says new monsters it means monsters that were not yet confirmed to be in Final Fantasy XIV yet. Which would make sense as none of those were on the official site or anything so they would in a sense be new FFXIV monsters.
That said they look awesome. The bombs made me laugh quite a bit.
Did you read the comment? They will not do it but will support Sony if they wish to have someone else do it. That's far from confirmation.
