While I like the Tekken series it's not more skill based. Playing Tekken is like playing a game in slo mo after playing something like DOA or Street Fighter.

@Abriael
"NO MMORPG can survive long based on a console audience alone"

I don't know if that's really true. Back when Final Fantasy XI first launched in Japan the VAST majority of players were PS2 players and at the time the Japanese players made up about 75% of the game until the PS2 version was released in the US and then another massive amounts of people jumped into the game.

During Final Fantasy XI's earlier days more peop...

There is actually a bit of talk out there on various FFXI related forums that the FFXIV benchmark tool is HIGHLY inaccurate. Reason being is that PC's with specs SE says are more then minimum requirements are failing on the benchmark.

I honestly would not trust the score you get in the Benchmark all that much. I would say wait for a beta invite or hope for a open beta and download it and see if you can run it that way.

@shades72

People are stupid enough on N4G to assume that since you submitted a story that you obviously had to have written it as well which is more often then not completely wrong. Not all people and sites are using underhanded tactics to get articles with massive degrees.

Don't take it personally some people are just idiots.

yeah considering the price they said it costs to make this in the article I doubt this will be in PS4 it would be to expensive. I would expect them to be using those Blu-ray XL discs or whatever they are called. I don't think games are gonna need such a big jump that this would provide. Perhaps in the PS5 they would use it.

The Model they used for the Japanese ads was WAY better.

I love how Majima acts around Kazuma but they really need to fix that in the subs. I hate how it says Kazzy instead of Kiryu-Chan. I'm pretty sure that the people playing Yakuza know all the honorifics already. They should just be more authentic to whats being said. They are already keeping it authentic by keeping it subbed so make it perfect by not changing things like that. Kazzy sounds dumb.

It's awesome that Kazuma will be coming back. The one question I have though is what they plan on doing when the series needs to have a new main character. By the end of Yakuza 3 Kazuma is 40 years old(probably closer to 41 if you consider his recovery after the end of the game post credit's).

I think they need to start prepping a new character to replace him as much as I regret saying that. It would be smart to have that new character in a few games before they take...

Now I can understand not wanting to hype the game up for fear of it being a let down(looking at every game you have ever made Molyneux) But having this little confidence in your game is a bad idea as well. The consumer won't buy something the creators don't have confidence in.

I would love to see this come out in the US. The first one did awhile ago and I thought it was a great game. I don't think the 2nd one ever did though. There isn't enough fighting games out there so this would be a welcome addition

@silvacrest

Your lucky ; ;

As I said while the US has a similar plan to the UK it's going to take a much longer period of time and last I knew they were trying to roll out low end broadband and not fiber optic like they should which is not only stupid but a massive waste of tax payers money.

The main reason behind this is because the ISP's in the US love to fight over who has the best deals and what not and Fiber Optic is where tha...

While I can't speak for Aion or War Hammer(I don't play those games just a few friends do and that's up to them to deal with those games issues)

I can tell you that your idea of how FFXI works is horribly wrong. You don't spend years getting a single piece and then use that piece forever. You will probably spend about a month or 2 FULLY gearing the character with gear you will continue to use for years to come and instead of getti...

@silvacrest

Honestly I don't know if that's gonna happen. In most of the places in the world that have really fast web access it's because the government made the companies do that.

Something similar is beginning to happen in the US however what they want is LOW end broadband and it's not expected to be finished until like 5 years from now.(assuming the bill even passes for that matter)

The US government seems perfectly conten...

Well they failed to get the impulse buy price point which basially means no one is gonan buy it.

You can best an extra 50 and get a wii so why bother. The Wii already has proven games like Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Oboromuramasa, No More Hero's and many more so why buy a gimpy add on for 360 that has yet to prove it will be worth the price with all it's shovel ware junk?

Did I ever once say that Blizzard makes nothing but failed games? No. I didn't so don't put words in my mouth. I am quite a big fan of both Diablo and Starcraft and am looking forward to Starcraft 2(despite it's over priced release strategy)

What I said is I disagree with how Blizzard runs WoW. In most MMO's players will strive to get a particular set of gear that makes them powerful and once they achieve that lofty goal they are con...

Honestly I really don't care about this game. As time has gone on Blizzard has proved they know nothing about running a MMO. They keep smacking their hardcore players in the face by making them repeatedly get better and better get and never letting them feel as though they have accomplished something in the game. The community in WoW is utter trash on the level of something like Xbox Live which is reason enough to not play it.

And honestly if they are making World of Sta...

I highly disagree with that. What Square has done with the series is what has kept it fresh for so long. The games would get stale or stupid should they make endless sequels to one universe. It's like how most comic book universes don't make sense any more because everything is so convoluted it makes no sense.

I have heard this Reboot thing about Final Fantasy going around on a few sites and it's the most retarded thing I have ever heard. They can't reboot a s...

The biggest issue here is you need to pay a monthly fee to pay for games and as far as I'm concerned that's BS. They should make it either a free service in which you pay for games(like Steam) or a monthly fee that's higher and you don't pay for the games. Either way it's just stupid right now. I see no reason to pay for it unless you are gonna be playing a crap load of stuff on it and considering they have so few games I don't see that happening.

Download is never gonna take over in my opinion. There are far to many things working against it. Not the least of which is how horribly slow the US is in terms of overall internet speed and what not(Japan and Korea can download full 1080P Blu-ray movies in about 3-4 minutes and it takes us 10x longer to download a NON HD movie half the length)

On top of that we have US ISP's thinking about charging people for using more bandwidth which is exactly what we would be doing ...

Would love to see these size discs and the drives you need to write them become available and be a little cheaper. They are a nice way to back up a crap load of data and I think it's safer then a Hard drive as it can't crash and what not. However right now it's a bit to expensive for the every day consumer.

On the gaming front I can think of alot of ways this would help games but again unless all the future consoles use it we won't see much benefit as only th...
