When comparing performance it is about how many TIMES better it has become.
Simple example, let your processor count from 1 to 1 000 000
Suppose you have a processor A that counts 10 000 / second => 100 s
Another one B counts 100 000 / second => 10 s
Now imagine one that is a complete A faster than B = 110 000 / second => 9 s
50% (or five processor As) faster than B = 150 000 / second => 6,7 s
three times as fast as B...
There will be surprisingly little visible difference... Less than between XBox One and PS4.
1) Performance factor is about the same
2) You need to sit very close to the screen to even be able to notice on a 4k screen.

Think the issue being - who runs the network, who gets the online money?
Crossplay requires a common server infrastructure. So suppose you own a PS4 and pay for Sony entertainment network.
Now suppose the game you want to cross play is hosted on Microsoft servers, using Microsoft resources.
Will you or Sony have to pay Microsoft? For free? Forever? Do not fool yourself...

Benchmarking a completely new architecture against programs optimized for another is not completely fair.
I expect a game like Battlefield 1 to have core specific options...
