Star cards can only be placed in specific slots - select what balance you want.
Balance might actually be better with star cards
Normal progress: long time players will both have more experience AND better equipment
Loot + card progress: long time player will have more experience but a beginner might have drawn a top card!

Yes, it is almost certainly so.
What do you think?

Microsofts whole E3 announcement 2016 was a panic reaction to PS4 Pro. But they had nothing to really show
- the motherboard was CGI rendered

But they had certainly worked on it since the first rumours of PS4 Pro earlier that year (possibly even late 2015)

"Yes, amazingly it is super quiet given the power it puts out"

The worlds most powerful console... so, they might sound the most of every console but still fulfil the quote above!

"We Didn't Want To Distract Developers with VR This Year"
guess that is why they ARE releasing it... (with help of lots of hard ware manufacturers)
Microsoft is confusing - will they release, or not, or release... please make your mind up!

Well Phil Spencer says XBox S competes against PS4 Pro...

@B1uBurneR there are also reports that it does not really run great
T10 has also updated (read: changed) their statement

Anyway I would expect listed processors be used to its max for each listed performance level. At least it should max that out continuously in some circumstance (multiplayer?) if not they should have recommended a smaller processor...

@OMGitzThatGuy reducing latency... would a single lane in your grocery store reduce latency by the exit door?
sure it would, your would always be alone
would it reduce the total latency?
only if you limit the amount of groceries each customer is allowed to buy at the same time
- max five items you may go as many times you like...

Yea why?

Minimum recommended processors are i5-750 (4 cores) and FX-6300 (6 cores) - why?

This indicates that they were aiming for multicore support, did they fail?
Doesn't even the XBox run multicore?
Really, really strange...

single minded genius dev team

isn't Microsofts thing supposed to be great software development?

@Atanasrikard actually PS4 was revolutionary!

It is the first console built almost as an GPU with a CPU coprocessor, as it is the GPU that has direct access to high bandwidth RAM.

Actually it was so great that it is now being copied by Microsoft...

@niko04 "being sold at a loss"

Cost = development_cost + production_cost * consoles_produced + marketing
Income = console_price * consoles_sold

Profit = Income - Cost

But for each console you could compare production_cost with console_price.
I can't imagine any console being sold below production_cost...

Lets take a look at each one of these for PS4 Pro and XBox One X

Just realised, they do not really have to drop the price of the Pro, it is already $100 cheaper than XBox One X.
What if they instead dropped the price of the Slim?

They already have the PS4 Slim with one game for $269.99 including Uncharted 4 but what if they go for $199.99?

The trailers/gameplay that was said to be multiplayer, full dynamic destruction...

They even promised that you can dynamically destroy a falling building while it falls.

I will be very impressed if they pull this off on a WAN with varying network latencies and even lost packages.

What they showed would be impressing as PC multiplayer gameplay even today...

I think it was a total fake, at best running with local servers using high speed / low latency local network.

Almost as if they want negative reactions giving them an "artistic" reason for cancelling it...

Delaying a game does not make it good...

I rather take a released game that is not perfect than a delayed game that is cancelled.

This game in particular that has been announced as a technology show piece, what will happen if they can not make it work as announced?

- Sorry, our early announcement was a total fake. We tried to fool you, cloud did never work as indicated.
or
- Cancelled for artistic reasons...

PS4 Slim v. XBoxOne S

XBOX 42% more powerful at least $100 more expensive (1TB PS4 Pro v. ? TB XBox One X)

What really causes delays are

- if product was not finished and sent to review on its allocated timeslot

- if product did not pass and needed a retake, most likely requiring an retest
