Thing is, KILLZONE 2 was the only FPS I played for pretty much the whole year - When I finally went back to MODERN WARFARE (the first one) I found it practicaly unplayable. Not MW's fault, I just had to "adjust back" to it.
Adapting to new games styles after being used to another DOESN'T mean the newer game is 'flawed'.
Yeah, that's put me off a bit. While I'm hardly a trophy whore, it was fun seeing that percentage climb everytime I checked my gamer card, but now I've reached level 12 things have slowed to a snails' pace - Even golds seem to be not worth much and the shine has been taken off the experience a bit.

The spin-off series that lasted 10 years?
The sequal series (featuring ATLANTIS on an alien world) that ran for 5 years?

Indeed - I read one article about this game in the official PS3 mag and that was it.
Pre-patch, perhaps - The 'dead zone' was way too big to start with. But post-patch, the controls were spot on (for me)
Awww, I loved having to take cover and think through my attack rather than just using a run'n gun/spray & pray technique. When you cleared an area it actually felt more satisfying; you felt like you'd earned it...

Does this also apply to the old red/blue 3D that was (very briefly) all the rage in the early 80's? I watched a load of stuff back then and now at 40, my peepers seem fine.
