the strict filter is not strict enough

The games are console exclusive, just not format exclusive. I bet MS doesn't mind games being on the 360, and PC.

Portal 2, Mass Effect 3, and Brink are my top 3 GOTY contenders, so far.

Man GeOW 3 is looking gorgeously brutal.

Because you want to.

My family and I enjoy ours, and look forward to The future of Kinect, and really the Future of the 360.

Then something about your Kinect was off, mine is responsives, can hear me speaking low, or with Last FM jamming.

Yes it does rock--but it doesn't splode, or spend time running through a Shadowy Complex, or be fliiped upside and left feeling in Limbo, let alone being surrounded by Warring Geometry, or even undergone some Trials. So I agree that the PS3 rocks, but one can never forget that XBLA Shreds, while watching Combat on Monday Night

On a more serious tip: that game looks to creepy for me, but awesome. I wish the developers the best of luck in reaching their goals.

All of my friends that own a Kinect love it. The greatest divide I have seen is on gaming sites, with one faction boasting or another criticizing, people presuming it will suck, others afraid to look like they are having fun, and still others stating that Kinect has no games. It's one of the most devisive pieces of hardware ever created. And I love mine.

I am a father of 4 sons, and Kinect, thus far, has been worth every penny. If you have the space needed to enjoy it, and you have family and friends that you want to play games with, in a social environment, then I say purchase it. I am in a wheel chair and after 2 Kinect ID settings, I am able to Bowl(244) with my children and having fun that seems physical has been a blessing for me. Sure I can't participate in all the events, but hey there is more in the "real world" that I c...

@zeal0us I would love to see Steamworks on my 360, but Gabe N can keep steam. IMO
@liquidxtension your opinion is a valid as is most, I just happen to disagree with you. PSN is not better than XBLA and I really am not a fan of Steam

30 minutes is plenty of time to know whether or not you like an inanimate object. If i got into a car to buy, I would know in 5 minutes whether or not the car was a fit for me. Why would a game console be different?
@DaTruth that may be your truth but my truth is completely different. BTW If you were smart you skipped Vista.
@04soldier it was Count Chocula
@MRMagoo123--whatever that is you wrote made me lol.. If like your PS3 that is awesome go play it.

I bought a Kinect for family fun, but COE looks absolutely astounding.

Every word below this sentence is opinion.
I will not say that Steam is a bad service, since I am a huge Valve fanboy (only game developer I feel that way about), but I will say that I find it deceptively over-rated. The best part about steam is Steamworks, and I hate it that it is not on my 360. The ability to rapidly update the games you release is awesome. However, that is where my love for Steam diminishes. I am very happy for my PS3 compatriots that they have Steamworks. I just ...

Why would you disregard Shadowrun as an example , because it was the 360 and PC, or because you just did not like it?
Related:
The 360 Shadowrun community still exists, I have friends that are still constantly playing it. Just like TF2 Classic on the 360, everytime they reset our leaderboards we are back to around 40000 unique gold member gamertags within 2-3 weeks. Pretty good for a game "nobody plays on the 360".

I don't normally respond to Sonycentric articles, but I am curious as to why it needs to succeed over the Nintendo? Seems like there are enough consumers for both companies to rack up the cash. I think competition is the true measure of any battle, and as long as the competition is good, and millions of gamers are happy then that sounds like victory for everyone.

I certainly hope that 3d is always optional.

"but if you want quality you buy sony simple!"
I am sorry but I vehemently disagree. Any Sony equipment I have ever bought (new or used) between 1985 and 2005 has all been been crappy, I believe the 1 year warranty expiration date should have been called FBOD (First Birthday of Death). I have zero personal experience with the PS3 (other than a 30 minutes of really disliking the controller, and interface);therefore, I am not saying it sucks or is inferior to the 360. I ju...

I am glad the xbox 360 I bought in eaely 2007 has evolved into the mult-faceted family fun center that it has. 30 avatars are better than Mii's, color is a great thing, and Kinect is so much more than the Wii (opinion). There are still plenty of core games, and by core I assume* you refer to games that I can kill the digital representation of a real life person, unless you mean something else by core, of course.

*I personally don't care if I am an A$$.

All I know, is that I enjoy the hell out of my 360, and for me, it is the best console I have ever owned. I will never disparage the PS3; however, I have spent 30 minutes with one, and it failed to sway my predisposition to distrust and dislke Sony. However, I know the PS3 is the superior hardware, but even in the face of that, the scrappy inferior 360 still manages to deliver a high quality gaming experience. How it does it, I still don't know. It must be magic. Seriously, by so many acc...

That looks good. I loved the Icewind Dale books, and am interested to digest more about the story. Totaly off topic: I keep hoping for a Wheel of Time game anouncement, that would be a great day.
