Actually on good days we have discussion that cover the gamut of gaming, and other days we have this.
You say it like Kinect is neither fun nor entertaining; however, that is an incorrect statement. You are also implying that MS does not have any exclusives which again is an incorrect statement. I understand that N4G is a maelstrom of subjectivity, but there is a difference between opinion and fact.
Battlefield 3 looks amazing, I really do hope its as awesome as you want it to be. I personally will still be playing TF2 classic until TF3 comes out.
I disagree
I actually think Digital Foundry's comparisons are more scientific, and overall better quality, but to each their own right? Also, your comment is rude and unnecessarry. Moreover, at least they are attempting something. There are much more intelligent, and mature ways to offer criticism. Unless of course you are treating him the way you wish to be treated. If that is the case then you have my deepest sympathy.
Cry3 looks amazing, I can't wait to see some gameplay footage for Codename:Kingdoms. Since I have not played either games, I have no opinion other than they both look great from what I have seen.
I believe this is the same topic as

I don't think any of the consoles are lacking core games.
Last year, the 360 had more exlusives than the PS3. This year is Sony's turn, the following year will be Microsofts turn. That just seems to be the way it works. MS has plenty of console exlusives in the pipeline, and all anyone has to do is use a search engine to find that out. As a 360 owner I love what I have. I paid 90$ USD for 4 gold memberships that, after refunds of unused existing months, came out to...
I disagree!!
You honestly believe that PS3 fans would be influenced by the opinions of Xbox 360 fanboys? o0 I think that is an insult to PS3 owners and I don't own one. If you allow other people to influence your gaming choice it could be argued that person is a drone. I do not think PS3 are drones. As a 360 owner I would never let hate on a game from the "opposing camp" make me reluctant to buy a game.
@ zez
I see you using the logic word, but I can't seem to grasp it. Are you trying to say that the 360 is a casual console? If so, I would have to firmly disagree with you on that point. Kinect may be, at the present, a casual device but that does not mean the 360 is one. Maybe I just missed your point.
lol @ Cheney mania..That would have cracked me up.
I hate to be anal, but the sign up said disc. if it were disk then they would be doing something to the HDD. I also agree with your comment.
"Even if you’re not a console gamer, you have to appreciate that this is essentially the first mass-market, desktop chip to squeeze a CPU, GPU, memory, and I/O logic onto a single unit." I think any company that do that has a reasonable chance of developing a new disc format.
In 1978 when the first laser disc player hit the market they were using using one of three formats. 30 years later those formats evolved (just like all other forms of technology) exponentially into t...
I have been is the MS preview program for the last three years, but there were never any games given away before. I do not believe this is a April fools joke. I certainly love previewing stuff before it come out to the general community. It certainly seems plausible that a new formatting technique could be the answer.
Bubbles up to you for being able to admit that. Wow how unusual on this site.
Although you articulated your thoughts quite well, I find my self disagreeing with most of your point. Just like me, you have your own interpretation of what the definition of core gaming should be. Would you relegate a gamer who only spends 45 hours a week playing COD to prestige as a casual gamer?? However, I am in total agreement with you when you state "The word casual is too associated with family games when in fact it really should mean gamers who play a limited selection of genr...
Bubble down for you ptqs for being a Ahole.
"To keep the training times down we employ a distributed
implementation. Training 3 trees to depth 20 from 1 million
images takes about a day on a 1000 core cluster." o0
I think using the object recognition feature to map the body is brilliant. The full PDF is a interesting read and quite frankly daunting.
MS has created some powerful and adaptive algorithms, and as a gamer, and a 360 owner, I would be ecstatic to see them (an...
That was an awesome read.
@ElementX
you certainly entitled to express your opinion; however the same goes for any person on N$G. The part I don't understand is in this quote " people like you look for reasons to disagree, instead of keeping quiet you have to voice your opinion instead of letting me have mine. " Umm, so you want other people to remain quiet while you get to express your opinion? I think that is one of the most paradoxical statements I have ever read. You, me, and everyone else ...
Destroy in the same way the PSP did?
Wow, I really can't believe anyone would actually think that some how we could metamorphosis from a red laser to a blue laser with an update. That just goes to show that just because people use technology doesn't mean they understand it.
