Brink and Rage thus far for me. However, at the end of each month, I will always have more hours playing TF2 than any other shooter.

Lol at your invalid interpretation of my comments. If you have truly been a member of N4G less than a week, then you obviously are speaking out of your a$$ because your brain should know better.

I have had 0 problems with any XBL promotions. I like what I pay for, or I do not pay for it.

@mandf
Thats the way I feel about my 360. My 360 is on from the time I wake up, until I go to bed.

It only seems to matter if MS is the company in question, at least here on N4G.

I am incredulous as to why so many of you are acting like this is over for Sony already. Hopefully there will not be any serious reprecussions for the Sony faithful, but I think its way to early to tell. Six months from now lets hope no one has suffered from the theft of private information.

I sincerely want PSN to come bcak on for all of its members. However, I am surprised how quickly some of you are willing to let Sony off the hook. And how N4G has gone from housing the SDF, to housing the SAP, or Sony Apologist Force.

Just as RROD has been mostly forgotten.
The only way the failure of Sony to protect its customers information is similar to the RROD is both comapanies earned well deserved black eyes. However, a black eye is just that, its something that goes away with time, and generally does not leave the victim disfigured or permenantly damaged.

You hate much?

Jeesh, I think there is room for both. There are millions upon millions of gamers, so there should be plenty to go around.

Wow, playing the contarion again? 40 comments and already down to 2 bubbles, that is impressive if you are going for some kind of antisocial person of the year award. Good luck with that.

Yeah, Valve has never disappointed me, outside of not giving 360 owners some new maps for TF2; therefore, I say no way will it suck or disappoint. I will believe the disappointment when I experience it firsthand.

@ASSASSYN 36o
Are you just another person, on N4G, attempting to belittle someone in an effort to make themselves look smarter? If so you failed. (imo)

I would agree, but it seems people do not learn from examples. Murders, wars, rapes, kidnapping, bank robberies and a multitude of other crimes and horrible acts to humanity still persit today.

I think we shoud start referring to those responsible as criminals more so than hackers.

*Edit due to forgetfulness
In the past I had a submission reported, because the picture was not relevent to the story. I guess things are different now.

Yeah I get that, but I also think it was lame for the BBC to use the Pic.

Thx for the heads up Pirate Thom

Back in the 1980's when I was phreaking, and using parameters to crack C64 games, I never imagined that we would be here. Hacking was much more innocuous back then, and doing significant damage with a 300 baud modem seems laughable to me.

Incidentally, I wonder why the submitter used a 360 controller for the photo, when the Xbox is not mentioned in the article. Kinda lame.

Umm Logs can be faked if one is clever enough, I would more inclined to believe what I just read if they were screen caqptures to go along with the displayed text.

And if that is legit, LMAO at their stupidity. IRC is where all kinds of law enforcement hang out, thats why I stopped using it in 1990

The differences between 2007 and 2011 are apparent, and should not even be compared. XBL was not hacked, there were intermittant outages that did not affect every XBL member.

Alpha- thanks for your thoughts, as always you deliver them with the cadence of someone who is level-headed and more mature than your typical commenter. As a 360 owner, I rarely read any articles that are PS3centric, but this week has been an important, albeit disquieting, week regardless of ones console affiliation. The loss of fun is one thing; however, the loss of personal information is a serious concern for all.

My speculative hypothesis is that Geohat has friends, an...
