I am a 41 year old, and I have grown to prefer the 360 controller over every other input method I have ever used. I find the PS3 controller to be an excercise in "anti-ergonomics". From the shape of the shoulder buttons, to the completly uncomfortable position of the thumbsticks, I consistantly marvel that people can actually use the controller, let alone want too. I come from a PCcentric gaming history, and used to laugh at "console" kids, but things happen and sometime...
3D is not for me, unless of course we are referring to cup size. I do not want to wear glasses at the movie theater, let alone at my home.
So Sony is going to make up over 3 million consoles to catch the 360 in 6 months? I do not think that will happen, but just like your statement, mine too is opinion. The 360, despite what so many of you state over and over, is a competent console, that delivers a robust experience to the end user. The 360, despite its age keeps chugging along, and holding off, what arguably was supposed to be, the definitive winner of this console generation. However, I will not disparage Sony just because I...
@midgard227
So what works for you is supposed to be an all encompassing answer for everyone? It is obvious why you have one bubble, and IMO likely to stay that way. There are millions of gamers that enjoy all aspects of their PS3 experience; therefore, who are you to tell people they are children because they take issue withe their gaming experience being interfered with? I recommend that you try a little more empathy, and understanding and I believe, you might start taking the steps...
especially on those mind blowing extreme tracks.
I do not think games are something that Kinect owners will be hurting for in the future. My son's and I play Kinect all he time, but I do look forward to what's to come.

Some pretty interesting titles on that list.
Video games supplanted the boob tube for me years ago. Netflix is how I get my television, and that is only when I am not gaming.
Are you a "5 decade" gamer also?
No, actually they have actual cabinet arcade games in, like: Time Pilot, Shaolin Rd, and many others, as well as Atari and Intellivision games.
The true definition of a snob is one who craves for what separates men rather than for what unites them. - John Buchan
I am not calling you a snob, but it would appear that you are wearing a snobs uniform. Why would you want what is such an excellent sounding game to be constrained to just PC? Seems weird to me, but hey this big world has all types of interesting opinions circulating about. I think PC gamers (especially the hardcore) will always have a "Mine is better and ...
I am a FPS fan, but I do not want my games to be all out murder simulations, and that is a possibility with hyper-realistic graphics. I really don't like killing humans in video games, give me a malevolent alien invader anytime, or the stylized games like TF2, and to some extent Brink.
The minute they add Sinistar, I will be in the Game Room, a great deal, more often than once every 4-5 months. When I do go in to the Game Room, I am taken back to the 80's by all the noise and "atmosphere", that reminds me of Aladin's Castle et al.
I completely believe that my games will carry over as long as there is a MS and XBL.
I used to play that and tremulous all the time, with the latter being crazy.
If you were replying to me, then I honestly did not think I had to spell that out. I was referring to a game like the Sims, so forgive me for the confusion.
"The ultimate point of this entire rant and why sensational journalism such as this shouldn't get approved"
I agree totally, but it happens every hour, of every day here on N4G. I simultaneously love and despise this site; but, it is part of my daily internet travels, and I accept the good with the pointless.
thx for the reply.
So how will games ever become Art if they are not allowed to reflect life?
OMG that is SWEET!! Battle Chess on my Amiga was one of my favorite games, and by far my all time favorite chess game. I am so picking this up.
I am not sure the headset has the noise canceling software integrated like Kinect does. However, I agree you should not have to buy a Kinect to play a game.
Maybe its not that we have decided it's going to be a great game, maybe its that we get tired of reading comments that consistantly bash Kinect and any of its games. I would rather not comment on rumor and speculation, but am I supposed to sit here and read the crap some of you spew and not feel the need to comment? Kinect is a great piece of hardware that shouldn't be dismissed, especially by those of you that obviously do not own one.
I normally do not call someone out fo...
