I like it. I want it.
No it doesn't.
It's when I expect it to release really. It's a shame, college starts in October so my time is quite limited then. Meh, fuck it, it's not like I'm learning something useful. BRING ON GTA5
The hard pill to swallow here is the idTech 5 engine. It sucks.
EDIT: Just saw they're using idTech 6. Could be good.
This is really good news because, as much as I like the concept of the game, it really didn't feel that different to any other Battlefield game, which it definitely should have.
Here's to hoping they can improve it and change it enough for it to be a step up for Battlefield.
Again, the combat animations seem disconnected. Look at the part when the "non player characters react in a way you didn't expect" - i.e. beating the shit out of the guards. Half of the hits don't even connect. The guy with the shovel hits like 50cm above the guard.
That's because Intel CPUs are better than AMD's and produce higher framerates in most games. Your setup doesn't really need Mantle. Also, AMD GPUs are horrible at multithreading in DX11, so they need Mantle for the extra oomph.
GTA 5 could really be a Mantle masterpiece. GTA4 is ridiculously CPU bound, Mantle could fix that.
It's one game where we could actually see a huge improvement over DX11.
I don't know, you can be unhappy in it and bad things can happen.
These complaints just fortify my utter disgust with the society we live in today.
For fucks sake, will someone make a game where a female main character has one gay, one transsexual, one black, one brown, one yellow, one white friend in which there is absolutely no freaking violence or guns, blood etc. and everyone is happy (equally) so that every moaning worthless complaining retard can finally be happy and leave games and game developers alone?
I'd rather they port Red Dead Redemption and throw in a PC version as well.
There will be no Max Payne 4 in my opinion. There's absolutely nothing left for Max, his former colleagues, his job, his love, his femme fatale and even his shitty apartment(s) are all gone. Nothing to come back to except his body in a bag after the stupid decisions he made in MP3.
Actually, when I think about it. He could go in guns blazing cleaning New Jersey of the ones after him. All for the sake of greater good since there's nothing else to do. And Rockstar could...
Battlefield 4 is a reprise of Battlefield 3 in every way. Even most of the issues are the same. Rubberbanding caused by hyperthreading, game crashing, memory leaks, losing connection to servers, horrible vehicle balance and hit registration both on vehicles - which is still present even now (ie shooting a jet with a tank, hitting it and.. nothing - https://www.youtube.com/wat... and infantry etc.
@mgszelda1
Seriously? :O
I really didn't know that it was a sales failure.
Of all the Capcom games DMC was probably the best.
I expect DmC2 as well, although I'm not sad about it. It was a very good game in my humble opinion and I can't wait for the next one.
Wasn't Black Ops essentially WaW2?
But the problem here is some people actually would give a 4 to Half Life 2. Just because, you know, they see things we common folk don't.
The game is in the 7-8/10 region, that's true. But then you have reviews like these which take the score down unjustifiably. Presumably, after a couple of years, people will talk about what an "under-appreciated game" XY was, probably after the studio closes..
Something reviewers don't understand is t...
I have to agree on that.
@Frosty:
Shouldn't reviews be objective instead of subjective? If game reviews are subjective, then they're basically saying "well, this game works well, does what it was advertised to do, but I personally don't like it, so here's a 3/10."
That's mainly the reason I don't agree with a lot of reviews these days. A review is supposed to be 95% FACT and objective observations with only a personal note in the conclusion.
...
I see it's becoming a trend to give unreasonably low scores. It's time to stop reading reviews, I suppose.
Just the same as you don't have to play violent games. Not everything is for everyone.
