The attach rate speaks for itself. EA and Ubisoft may be saying that they are selling more games on the PS3 platform, but overall people buy more software for the 360. Lately I'm buying more games on the PS3.
There's no reason to believe that the 360's life is coming to an end. Not with the sales that the platform has been showing since October. The PS2 actually continues to eat the PS3's lunch in a lot of cases, because as long as Sony continues to support the PS2 platform there's less of a compelling reason for many gamers to upgrade to the PS3. That's probably one of the real reasons that Sony dropped backward compatibility from the platform. They were a staunch believer in carrying your game l...
I have been a Sony PlayStation consumer since the beginning and I've had a lot of fun over the years. To me, and it's probably just me, Sony has not been able to create that same feeling of fun this generation as they did in the last generation. It's like they grew up and turned fun into serious business and as a result Sony isn't producing games that the masses want to play. The attach rate is undeniable proof of that.
The average yearly sales of the PS3 are virtually the same a...
So how many PS3's do you think are selling in Lithuania and Poland?
I'm with you guys. How dare Microsoft try to compete with Sony! The nerve of some companies.
Why did you just buy a PS2? Do you also own a PS3?
That's why I have both systems. I don't want to miss the exclusives.
I have to admit that I'm curious.
We go through this time and time again here. People hype the crap out of games like LBP and Valkyria Chronicles. They're great games that people love. But the fanboys here build them up and 360 and Wii killers that are going to move millions of consoles upon release. Then the games come out and it never happens. So then it's on to "just wait for the next game."
The current title is Killzone. People are saying that it will move millions of consoles because it is the titl...
It seems to move EA multiplats.
Getting a lot of traction out of that post, I see. I bet it took a crazy long time to write it, so I guess it makes sense to spam it across as many PS3 threads as you can.
There must be some good reason for trying to turn this into a PS3 vs. 360 argument.
The beta tag isn't an excuse for the lack of compelling features. The moment that the software was released to the public the impressions were formed. The beta tag is irrelevant now. For many people, what they get now is what their impression of Home is going to be.
You only get one chance to make that first impression.
So where do you see things when December is over?
Every failure sells 40 million units, right? The Wii "bubble" will burst when everyone that wants one has one.
Sounds like the internet hate machine is all fueled up and ready to go on this one. All things considered, I agree with the pick. The game was the most detailed and in-depth GTA story yet, in my opinion. It was like the other GTA games in that it allowed players to do pretty much whatever they wanted to whenever they wanted to but it cut out the gimmicky crap that had invaded the series since GTA III and focused more on story.
This game had broad appeal and sold a metric crap-ton...

I wasn't disappointed in GTA4. I actually enjoy it quite a bit.
