Just smoking, kicking back and talking sh*t, right? I wasted 3 minutes of my life scanning for Sony's plans for trophies, just to hear you mumble incoherently about what YOU think it SHOULD be; and another 2 writing this comment.
I want my 5 minutes back.
The PS3 will still be relevant and competitive in the long term; while the XBOX will go through its market cycle much more quickly. You'll see an XBOX 720 or something similar before you see a PS4.
So leaving all the other technical details aside, the PS3 is a better investment because you won't need to upgrade nearly as soon. Count the savings in that.
It's true consumers tend to judge on sticker price, but with the economic downturn I don't think XBOX sales are...
LittleBigPlanet vs. Gears of War 2...
..what next, a comparison of apple sales vs orange sales? Why not compare Katamari to Halo?
If you're going to compare sales between games, at least make sure they're the same genre so you don't sound like a complete fool.
@ PoSTedUP:
No, you can't create Mario. Not if you want to submit it online. It'll get deleted for copyright infringement...depending on when the mods get around to it. They're a little busy killing other levels that don't meet the guidelines. I'm not totally sorry about that - I just wish it applied to the Trophy whores who lazily throw something together in an otherwise blank level. That crap shouldn't last 24 hours, IMHO.
But I digress. I really just wanted ...
Same deal anywhere else. It's called moderation, not censorship. I fully expected it - we were certainly warned about it. It's part of the tutorial when they explain about what's acceptable. At no point was there any indication that you had completely free reign to do as you pleased...there were and are limits. If offenders still remain it's because there's a huge backlog of submissions, and it takes time to deal with them. Use the grief button if you've an issue.
Just keep...
I'm glad someone said it! Bubbles to you.
Seriously...corporations that give things away aren't called corporations: they're called charities. Just because Microsoft cut prices doesn't automatically mean everyone else has to.
And let's be real: the 360 was overpriced to begin with (esp. after you factored in all the 'not included' stuff); only after the cuts is it now reflective of true market value. Sony began with a reasonable price for what they were selling, s...
While I like the game, I won't consider the PS3 version superior in any way until they do something about the myriad bugs in it. Superior? When my NPCs can't even negotiate a straight line? When characters, for no reason, suddenly get sucked up by the ground and disappear? When I jump...and get stuck? When I'm tormented by freeze-ups and auto-pauses?
Whoever rushed this out of the gate should be ashamed of tarnishing such a potentially fantastic RPG. Right now Oblivion is s...
Editorial = of or relating to a section in a newspaper, often written by the editor, that expresses an opinion.
We see editorials in news all the time...if you want to get really profound, we rarely see the actual facts at all; except in passing reference to an author's opinion.
So how is posting an editorial as news a faux pas, again? 0_0
I 'ran away' at that age too. Several times - but I always came back, because really; where was I going to go? It's a temper tantrum sort of thing, and yes, it has roots in parental treatment, but also in the disposition of the child (a *combination* of nature and nurture - genes play a role here).
Bad parenting? It's easy to play that card, but there are no solid rules about 'good parenting'. Being a father or mother is more complex than just NOT doing certain things. So if...
Why people feel the need to champion or dethrone a storage format, I've no idea. Don't they have anything better to do? ..Anything at all?
I guess it's hard to focus on important things if you're full of crap.
lol @ the disagrees...what, you guys don't like girls??
Cause, you know, that's ok if you don't; there's nothing wrong with that.
I'm not knocking what is essentially a great game; but even Oblivion was more polished. Dead Space is a good example of a game that was released with the full-on polish - but Fallout looks like somebody decided to rush through post-production.
I hope an update is forthcoming, because I'm noticing numerous pathfinding issues, clipping issues, AI issues, auto-pauses when someone logs out of the network, and so forth.
Please, Bethesda; take the time to do things prop...
No strippers? No prostitutes? No girls? No mention of them whatsoever? Saint's Row must be all about the violence - too bad.
GTA IV at least reminds you of what you're missing out on while playing it... ^_^
She had damn well better be a very open-minded sort, because if I see even a hint of SC II being namby-pamby they can kiss my $$$ goodbye.
("Chris, I don't like all that blood and killing. Why can't they all just get along?" 'But Mom..' "There doesn't have to be any shooting; they can just build their own nice little cities and trade with each other, or something. Sid Meier doesn't make HIS games all about killing...")
Until Sony does something about that godawful interface...I'm less than impressed. It's a browser I'd use for emergencies only - saying it's better than IE is like saying urine smells better than feces.
Fallout 3 sounds pretty close to this idea. Not completely, since there are other elements besides mutants (who look pretty similar to zombies).
Sounds like an interesting direction to go, though; I'd play the demo at least, maybe even buy it.
Is it possible to love Sony too much? Like, if I take my pants off and do strange things to my PS3, am I loving it too much? What if it's a Sony Bravia HDTV - if I try to output with the input ports, is that inappropriate? It's a Sony product, and I really love Sony, so...hey, what if it isn't a Sony product at all? What if I go to the local branch of Sony's corporate offices and start streaking around nude randomly humping the architecture? Is that loving Sony too much?
I'd...
Truly a children's crusade. Who else would have the time or inclination?
..Enjoy your pissing contest, kids. Us adults are going to judge the games based on their own merits anyway. Mmkay? Try not to let puberty hit you in the ass on the way out.
Amazing game. That said, it'll scare the crap of out kids and they should be kept away from it - it even freaked ME out a couple times, and I'm terribly jaded and desensitized. Just imagine the impact it'll have on impressionable young minds...you'd be checking under their bed for 'monsters' for years to come!
Fantastic game though. Did I say that already? ..Yeah. It really is.
^_^
It may come as a surprise, but most gamers simply want to enjoy their entertainment, not be frustrated by it. There's a line between keeping it fun and making a game into work. (Evidence: Silent Hill; Homecoming)
..So quit being an insulting little elitist. I'll continue to enjoy games at my own pace and difficulty, thank you very much; and if I want to complain, I will - I paid for the game, after all.
