Chuck Norris ripping peoples heads off with his bare hands.
bring the product out and let the customer decide.
I think theres room for both in the market now and years to come.
If I had just got mine and found out that soon, no one is going to be making products for it...then hell yeah, I'd return it.
An HD-DVD player is basically a lemon now.
I think its the first case I've seen where people who are on the boat bailing water from outside in to the boat.
Its sinking fast, stand back!
Mesh1...who the hell would go on Live and talk about PS3s???
Most people go on there to play games and enjoy thme selves...if they want to start flame wars, they come here.
and that interview was 8 months ago.
Should start seeing stuff come out of this in the next year hopefully.
If it was world wide sales, Blueray would have an even bigger slice of the pie.
When I first got my PS3 it was just for playing games....I had an old TV so there was no point in getting Blueray films.
But then I looked at the picture of HDTV is stores and how the games looked, and after a few months I caved and got one.
After that I was thinking...hmmmm....I can get these films in HD now.
Now i have 5 films to my collection.
Enter the dragon looks cool in HD, GO BRUCE LEE!!!
I think ending the war and $$$.
money never hurts, and i'm sure both sides were willing to pay if warner went to them.
But their right, if they went HD-DVD then the market would be split half way down the middle and it would stay that way till the market was done for. Go Blueray and then its in the clear lead, the market will gain confidance and people will start buying the HD media because now they will know which one to get.
the War was killing the DVD industry because ...
Just over 1 mill....I've got 5 of them!
I'm not going to repeat the same points I've done 4 times before on this site, but I do have one thing to add.
Its funny how all the people who say the whole HD media market won't last are the people who stand to profit if download data goes ahead.
if they can get the infrastructure up and running to do this, then great....it'll finally be ready for me to join in 10 years time. Thank you! See you in 2018!
Cool if you could use this to play double player on one screen the same way as playing on a split screen.
Must give you one hell of a head ache however.
They could also use it to make games in 3D as well.
Ya have to remember there are a lot more units of NDS and other hand held plus Wii's...so it maybe that the PS3 games arn't selling that badly but rather the DSs are so many with so many more games (and being out for a lot longer) that the userbase just fills up all the top positions.
All the units sales had gone up...basically doubled.
I was thinking of Uncharted when I was looking at that.
Better to under play it now and be pleasently surprised than to over hype it and be disappointed.
the open office plan will become very noisy when everyone has to talk to their computer.
This shouldn't be surprising to anyone that these things happen...its been happening since publications required funding by advertising.
Everyone does it, you scratch my back, I'll scratch your.
If you give a magazine your product an exclusive, you want them to say something good about it...and the mag will want money, so if they say something good about it then the company will do more advertising with the mag, there fore more money.
Do I think that Sony do this....yes.
...
Great, a weapon for every member of the family.
Something is seriously wrong here.
Can we please have another Petition to say KILL HD-DVD quickly, so we can move on with our lives.
While I feel sorry that these people brought a product that no one will be supporting soon. There had to be a winner and these people knew that was a chance that the format they went with might not win.
