Personally I'm going to get this one, it'll be lots of fun...something you can play with your girlfriend.
Plus the thing couldn't run on a Wii in a million years....not just because of the graphics, but also the physics in the game.

I love the way MS were saying they will supply it if the consumer wants it, but only now have they been talking about a BlueRay add on...thats not really supplying them with choice.
MS could have come out at the start and supplied the add on for both formats from the start. because its an add on, the choice really was up to the customer. Only now that HD-DVD is on the slippery slope do they talk about giving them the option.

Since I got my PS3, I have moved what music I can to it so I can play it on the 5.1 surround sound system.

Bill Gates has had a lot of great ideas for the future and on how to improve technology.
However he seems to get so wrapped up in his own vision that he does not bother to find out what the customer wants. A prim example of this is the HD media business.
Wouldn't it be better to look at the market and see who is buying what and than go with that, rather that seeing the confusion is caused by the competing formats and keep propping up the losing one to prolong the war so that in ...
Of course there is a future for download moves, thats a no brainer.
but there is also space for Disk media as well.
This give the customer to option to buy and keep the film so they can watch it as often as they like.
Downloads in their current form will only take over the rental market, but this service is no different that other services like Sky where you can watch films at home right away and for a lower cost....great if you only plan to see the film once.
The planned life span for BlueRay is about 10 years, by that stage we will be moving to HD storage and download, even MS are moving towards this.
HVD has missed the boat.

I think he was trying to drive at DVD still doing so well compared to the HD formats. But I think he's a little out of the lop as he made no comments on Warner going exclusive and the ratios between Blueray and HD-DVD sales.

I think they put it into the 360 list because the plan is that UT3 will come out on 360 if they ever sort out the mods things.
The last guy talked about downloadable content for movies from services like MS's Live.
Thats fine if you want to rent films, but prefur to own them on disk.
