But the controller does take a bit of getting used too.
I don't know much about TVs, but do know that the picture looks better with these options on....No one can tell me different.

True, but most of the new players that can do upscaling for DVD are BlueRay players anyway.
The idea is most people looking to get a new player will either have an old machine that can't upscale or not have a machine at all.
It'll only be a few years before I have kids, I sure as hell wouldn't want these @ss holes bring them up for me!
PS3 does have a parental score rating system going from 1 to 9.
the manual has a score card as to what each number is in relation to the age ratings in each country.
just make sure its perfect and I'll be happy....thats the only thing that matters.

I think the PS3 will be focusing on its software releases for sales this year as its only recently had a price cut already.
And with all the new games coming out I'm sure a lot on consoles will be picked up, so why drop it now.
The only thing that would cause it to be dropped again would be to keep it in line with the 360 if MS decide to drop their price...but I'd expect that to be 2 or 3 months down the track.

I'm pretty sure that Sony and every other company including MS have looked into ways of forcing people to buy direct from them.
Sure they will miss out on sales if someone buys a game, completes it and then sells it on....but thats a right the consumer has had for as long as humans have been buying and selling.
