It'll be good to have another Engine for Devs to use other that the Unreal engine.
Then there may be some variation in how the games look.
We know the graphics will be great, they are now.

What makes games sell well and anything for that matter from Books, films, TV or anything is if the producer to tap into the consumers head. In this day and age war is something that is broadcast on the news everyday and the images are very familiar to us.
So if you create a game that uses these images, it'll make you feel more of a part of the events that you see and helps you feel in control of whats happening.

A game can look like crap but you can't put it down...where on the other hand a game can have the best graphics in the world, but your bored of it after 2 days.
One of the best games I've ever played was MULE on the C64, so many hours went to that playing with my mates when I was younger, and it really was a blocky program.
Sony have always said that MS were welcome to join BlueRay at any time.
If MS did start using Blueray add ons, this would only help Sony get more sales for BlueRay movies....its too late this gen for 360 owners to take advantage of the disks unless MS forces everyone to buy the add on.
As for next gen, i sure they'll have a whole other bunch of aces up their sleeve, MS and Sony....so only time will tell what they are.
