To be fair, how many PLaystation or N64 games gave you that freedom? Ogre Battle 64 or other JRPG's sure, but anything more action oriented has only improved. I've lamented the loss of things like the original Ghost Recon(1+expansion packs) and Rainbow Six (1-3) but are they or were they ever driving the industry? Were people like me who enjoyed the original titles enough to keep something like that alive? Did it have room to grow?
It's exactly as TechnicianTed sa...
1v1 Quake/UT pretty much out does any game for what Zodiac was preaching.
"I'm just glad I never gave it a chance." I'm confused how you can agree with someones assertion about HoN, LoL and WoW (Which is erroneous) when you've never played the game?
Does everyone here realize there has only been one FPS released this month? Shootmania which is officially out this month, and later there will be Blood Dragon and one TPS GodMode, is that really too much? Do you really feel like we're drowning in to many FPS games?
Then you had issues on your own end, Core 2 Quad with two 8800 GT's was running everything sans Crysis (20-30fps on high/very high) 60+fps, granted this was at 1680*1050 not 1920*1080. Two 8800 GT's was overkill for anything source related in 2007.
I agree that consoles offer a great experience with minimal issues and technical knowledge. They are a great alternative to PC"s if you just want to play some games.
But don't st there and tell me PC's have stagnated, that's weapons grade Bolonium.
Crikey, Gran Turismo 6 will be out before Project CARS at this rate.
I'm pretty sure you can already buy APU, APU aren't exactly a new thing. He's just twisting things to fit into the tiny narrow box which he resides.

Landog is definitely one of those PC gamers who give credence to the "PC Master Race" stigma that gets attached to PC gamers. You should probably just ignore him.
But Intel and AMD released a new line of processors, that means my older processor is now inoperable, it can't run anything and if I want to play Solitaire I'm going to have to upgrade.
That's how it works, right guys? It's still the 90's right guys? You know, when the constant upgrade argument actually had SOME merit?
Well aren't you just a delicate little flower, the poke upset you did it? That's to bad, it's a shame you're going to have to live with that the rest of your life, how could you possibly go on?
This post you've posted is quite possibly the worst example of gamers today and this expectation that we deserve to be waited on. They sell us a product, based on the information given to us we make the decision whether or not to purchase it. That's it, end of s...
Did all of my disagree's miss the big /S? Or do I really need to start putting /SARCASM?
I'm so tired of this place.
Seriously dude, eff off.
Trial or Demo, whatever what we have serves that purpose. The blog and Nicaraguas comment are only addressing the potential issue of the less involved skipping over Soul Sacrifice due to a bad experience with the demo.
Stranglehold > Max Payne 3. /s
Max Payne 3 was a perfectly fine game, it ended poorly and their were parts throughout which I felt didn't have much purpose in being there, but in the end Max Payne 3 kept moving forward.
If you want to lay any issues at the feet of Max Payne 3, it's the absolutely piss poor job Rockstar did with linking Max Payne 3 to MP1 and MP2. The original games are pretty key to understanding Max and the current state he is in,...
"According to Lead Designer John Edwards, the plot is meant to rationalize the game's fighting mechanics between characters that would not normally fight one another and explain how Batman can "stand toe-to-toe" with Superman"

pay attention, pay attention, pay attention!
The counter point to obnoxious PC gamers always spouting their specs or how their rigs can play any game at a framerate higher than consoles, is you.
You're clearly either incredibly misinformed or just a bad and incredibly sad troll. Is it a terrible and lonely existence you have? Does the sadness claw at you day and night and the only reprieve you find is by trolling?
Either way, I've already wasted enough time on someone without the capacity for ra...
I haven't logged into anything all day, so I just pushed the power button on the Xbox and voila XBL. The times I've been affected by an outage on XBL is extremely small, on the other hand other than the great PSN disaster I haven't been hurt personally by PSN outages either.
A Core Duo would out run a Pentium 4 even though the Pentium was clocked at a much higher speed. (In threaded benchmark applications) The processor in the PS4 being 1.6ghz isn't very relevant.
It's people who act like you who always make me kinda ashamed to be someone who also enjoys PC games. It's so simple man, some people just want to sit on their couch or not have to deal with drivers. Hell, I enjoy the odd round of Red Orchestra 2 or Starcraft 2 but I can als...
This was about showcasing the game in a very unfinished and un optomized state. You have to brute force power things like that, and I don't think EA/DICE would spare any expence when it comes to showing off their tent pole shooter franchise for the first time.
The whole talk of the cost is either by kneejerk console only people looking to downplay the PC platform or equally kneejerk PC only/leaning people trying to justify the price of something like this.
You mean children/man children with a crummy low rent soap box?
Nintendo Cash Cow's like God of War, Gears of War and The adventures of Rico and Mister Chief. OH wait, that doesn't look right...
It feels like I haven't played a console based 3D Mario platform in years. Oh wait, it will be 3 flipping years next month. 3D Mario's on the Wii had the same gaps as God of War.
I also have to ask if you actually played either Galaxy, because as far as 3D platformers go they were very interesting.
There have always been plenty of shooters, perhaps not so much on the consoles. But they've always been there by the truckloads.
