I'd rather scream "the sky is falling" and make wild gestures, it's fun.

Could we please, please, PLEASE stop speculating on rumours as if they are 100% confirmed? I am all for discussion about what an always online console could do, and what would be the negative and positive aspects of the device? The clearly brand preference driven back and forth between people is getting back to that 2007-2008 level of drivel and childishness.

I won'...

Because the ships were really key to the experience?

@BiggC

They kinda have always been awesome. Taken in the context of when they came out, 64 player action in 2003 with the map sizes was pretty awesome and they have only improved on that with every iteration.

Even BF2:MC on the 360 was fun online.

But I want to be one of the cool kids who rags on it constantly even though for a 60FPS game CoD looks fantastic on the consoles.

The CoD hate is so played out, play it or don't, buy it or don't. At the end of the day, the market doesn't give a shit.

Both looked great, and things are looking up if you enjoy FPS games. I certainly wish gaming communities focused a bit less on the Game A) vs. Game B) or Platform A) vs Platform B) it's boring to read and the comments are just grating.

Both Killzone SF and BF4 looked great and they will both be enjoyable romps shooting dudes. Just like games in the past from both series they will both offer competent and enjoyable multiplayer. Why is this simple idea so hard for some of y...

Reading the article, you can definitely tell if you have some level of competency reading words typed in a row.

People on N4G really need to cool their jets and slow down.

No piece of software will be "The greatest of all time", everything is iterated on and improved upon. You can't argue the influence of Half Life in how it shaped gaming, especially in the realm of FPS.

God of War, Halo 4, CoD etc, etc while all being wildly popular, WILL be considered antiquated and quaint in 15 years. While you might not see greatness those who were there and knew what the genre was before Half Life and after Half Life understand it's impo...

In variety, story, characters, environments and overall arch Half Life 2 still holds up extremely well.

Based on your Half Life 2 comments, and the utter stupidity of saying D3 is better than D2, I think we can all breath a sigh of relief that you only have one bubble.

I'm all for praising Half Life for what it did for the genre back in 98, but do we really need these articles on N4G?

4818d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

If you didn't play it in 98, I don't see how you have the perspective to make a definitive judgement. It's like playing System Shock 2 today and saying Bioshock 1 is better.

The game revolutionized story telling in shooters, and was one of the major pillars that supports the notion that 1998 was one of the greatest years ever in gaming.

Who is upgrading every few months? I really wish this myth would die, it's getting beyond ridiculous.

I'm happy that you feel it isn't worth it to you, but for things like Planetside 2, The Witcher, Battlefield, Red Orchestra 2 and other games big and small I'm perfectly happy with my "investment" in a PC, just like I'm perfectly happy with my PS3 and 360.

This goes the same for PC only people ragging on console owners, just STOP...

Ex Rare staff can come together all they want, in fact that would probably be a great thing, but the best they will be able to do is something simlar to Banjo.

With the Stampers gone, and a large portion of what made Rare gone, I don't see the point in all this wishful thinking. Especially when you get down to the brass tacks and you realize Microsoft isn't going to allow a full boxed game on a competing system when they own the IP.

I also don't ...

Good god, it's always the same people with the same feeble crap.

No Super Mario didn't secretly train me to think women are fucking objects. I don't base my buying habits on the gender of the main character and I couldn't care less about what my objective within the game is as long as it makes sense within the context of the story.

Everyone always forgets all about the Resident Evil ladies, everyone always forgets Regina from Dino Crisis, ever...

Judgement like Ascensionis a perfectly fine game, neither is going to set the world on fire and win new fans to either franchise, but if you liked things about them before these than you aren't going to find anything offensive about either...except for a lack of Horde Mode.

Fuse and Vanquish aren't in any way comparable, the only way I can reasonably comprehend why you would say what you just did, is because you just picked a random game out of a hat.

Yeah Generic coop shooters with the kinds of weapons shown in the trailer show up all the time. The concept for the game is the exact same thing it's just the art style that has changed, the abilities of the individual agents is the exact same.

Or it' a glitch that the game is pretty chock full of, look at the Giantbomb quicklook where the game loses any semblance of what it's supposed to look like with the model and textures glitching.

This has nothing to do with the development of Lara or anything to do with her character, these are technical issues that plague the PC version of the game (At least initially). This shouldn't be on the front page, how this stuff gets approved is beyond me.

For the most part, I don't think N4G does. But the world outside of this small little bubble does, and they don't particularly care what you think.

Call of Duty is a perfectly fine game, it looks fine considering the framerate, it plays fine and the community supports that. It's not like all those people who play CoD and only CoD are going to say "Oh, no CoD? I guess I better give Monster Hunter 3 a try!" They are going to look for something similar to C...

I've had Rogers Ultimate (Canadian) for years, 150Mbps down and 10Mbps up and haven't had latency issues.

But hey, it's totally networking issues.
