Considering both platforms are selling at a faster rate than the Xbox 360 did last gen, I sincerely don't understand why we can't just be happy that the console business on all fronts is doing okay.

It's possible to enjoy all of those things listed and not be a psycho. I like the Toronto Maple Leafs, if someone likes the Canadiens I don't go bug them about it. If they bug me about it, it's just a sign that person isn't worth the air they breath.

Tech tribalism and general fandom to the point of hating, or disgreeing to disagree because it's the "thing" you don't like. Has always, and always will be the stuff of people with major self est...

You're kinda glossing over the fact that Evolve is an online game and can be played multiple times, in multiple ways. The Order can't, it can be played one way then it ends. At the end of the day it's what you value more in games, and I can't make that judgment call for you. I'm happy for the people who enjoyed their time with The Order:1886, but I don't think that's inherently a sign that people who review games are being paid off.

I can see why you have one bubble. I like how the conspiracy theory was that internal shenanigans were causing issues on the PS3, and we've now come full circle and it's the Xbox now.

No one is skipping features of either platform to make one look better or worse than the other. That's just bad business, especially in the cut throat state games are in right now at the AAA tier of publishers.

Oh and btw, since you're bit of a defensive ass. I took a picture just for you.

Been playing CoD since 2003 with its launch on the PC, while also playing FFXI and Grandia 2. Just because you play game X doesn't make you one type of person or another automatically.

The complaints about the content and length of The Order aren't a Us vs Them thing, or a SP vs MP thing. The Order isn't a bad game, it's just a short game with nothing left to do once you've finished it. That's a major knock, and as someone who owns the game (PSN: TheMa...

First trophy earned on Feb 20th, the last was on Feb 21st. I bought the game, I assure you.

"You reviewers are biased hipocrites!" You're referring to him specifically there, I'm referring to your kneejerk swipe at his review.

The game being 59.99 there and 69.99 in Canada is a exchange rate thing, it's the same price just a different number and either way you slice it there just isn't anything...

Does Septic rate CoD a 9 every year? Are you the review scale ombudsman? Are the cutscenes on their own the crux of Septics issue with the game? By saying it's well "worth it", you're saying the value of The Order at 69.99 is justified?

God of War 3, Bayonetta, Gears 2,3, Judgment - All give better more compelling reasons to replay the campaign or other modes than The Order does. They all retailed for the same price.

Then it ends and you're left with a 69 dollar disk. It's all of the things you listed, but to not acknowledge the glaring issues just speaks volumes. 69.99 CAD is a lot of money to spend on something I finished in 6-7 hours I can't speak to how you value money or decide how to spend it, but it's a valid critique of the game when it rings in at the highest price games retail for.

The difference between the games you just listed and The Order is that there is more game in a Battlefield title than The Order by the widest of margins for the same price. Evolve lacks content, but it's not a one and done experience.

I've finished The Order, it's not an awful game. It's not the games length, it's that no one could be bothered to find one other thing for me to do after I finished the game. For 69.99(CAD) it's an awful lot for what you...

Gears was more or less the first, it's hard to count Killswitch. It had the mindblowing visuals, the novelty of the Lancer and the Locust. It also didn't hurt to have decent online multiplayer, sans the host advantage and the shotgun. Which I'm just going to clarify by saying I don't think The Order needs MP.

I have the CE version pre ordered on Amazon, I'm excited and I'm sure I'll get enjoyment out of it. But leave ...

....Games Journalism didn't create this. Gamers being portrayed as violent, anti social and people averse is nothing new. The only issue this creates is for people who identify as a gamer before everything else, and for those who need something to make them feel marginalized.

But thanks for letting us all know you're an incredibly imbalanced individual, will avoid in the future.

Corruption in Games Journalism, lets keep banging that drum until it stops sounding dumb.

Seriously...it's really dumb. Couldn't you put this amount of energy towards societal issues that extend beyond a TV/Computer? Am I really wrong when I laugh every time someone says "Games Journalist"? Like God dammit, just quit already. No one cares, not because no one wants to fight the "man" but because the "man" is just a little guy behind a curt...

Not even slightly comparable.

Video games are enthusiast press, they may write their own editorials and thought pieces but like any industry that gets covered in a similar way it's all beholden to the powers that be. It's the same with auto racing, tech, science, sports and other enthusiast aimed things. We get what they give us, we get the answers that they give us and there is no real JOURNALISM.

The insistence on the idea that what the games press ...

A) Animals don't have morals, it's not a concept they are capable of. The wild isn't Lion King, that's not how animals interact. Animals don't have compassion, WHERE IS THIS NOTION COMING FROM!?

B) This isn't a moral issue... Compassion really? REALLY?

Isn't the SP to Killzone 1080p 60fps? The mp was 30? Or is it the other way around? I don't care to look, google is hard.

What doug is missing is that it's a game rendered at 1920*800 but the black bars create the same pixel density as a full 1920*1080 image. It's simple but I can see why some people would seize onto the number, rather than what was actually going on.

Resolution and Screen size also matter a great deal, the differences in image quality from resolution to resolution are always apparent. Screen size and sitting distance only exacerbate the discrepancy or negate it.
