OKAY! The Kinect functionality, Snapping, Video chat through skype, voice commands will still always work. In a game built with the new SDK, the developers have access to 10% of the GPU's power which was earlier set aside for FUTURE updates to the Kinect. They ran into this problem with the 360 where they wanted to build something bigger in the tiny footprint allowed by the 360. When it originally launched they had no intention for the console to do the tasks it does today.
World News is world news, things that have an effect on people. Games aren't and other than the examples you used, real journalism just isn't possible in a commercialized industry. You think Formula 1 reporters are meeting "deep throat" in a car park to get some insider news on strife in Ferrari? No, they report on drivers having spats over the radio or with teams, teams cheating, driver changes, mother fucking tires. You never invite the press down into the Paddock unless y...

Patrick can be a bit of a Social Justice Warrior, but I enjoy his articles and interviews. Jeff is always insightful (Not in a prediction sense) and I find Vinny, Alex and Brad to be one of the most fair and balanced groups out there. None of them enjoy the idea of being a mouth piece or anything like an IGN or Polygon, Brad visibly shudders.
The biggest issue is that game news, and the kind of stuff we see in "games journalism" is...
I think he's referring to the undeniable fact that the resolution doesn't have a massive impact on the fun of a game. I'm very excited to play The Last of Us in 1080P on my Sharp Quattron TV, but it's the improved assets and other aspects that they are cleaning up I am far more excited about.
I would also like to point out the story, characters, voice acting, pacing and gameplay of The Last of Us will be the exact same experience we all had on our PS3's, 1...
Weird, I guess some people care more than others. It could be that you've stated things as fact when you don't really know, that generally irritates people.
If you honestly believe the PS4 is going to be hitting 1080P while seeing improvements in visual fidelity on the same level as the 360 and PS3 did over their life cycles...you're delusional.
Because Turn 10 and Forza are the only developers/racing franchise guilty of releasing car DLC. I don't know how the lack of cars that are available in DLC detracts from the experience that comes on the disk.
I like when people like to dig at the other team like some kind of self righteous warrior from the East. We get it, you took those articles REALLY REALLY personally, while I would call that semi frightening behaviour you've hung your hat on it, Kudos. You're back with a vengeance and now it's personal! You seem sane, lets hang out.
Guys this is video games and all those years ago some nameless anonymous dudes really got to this guy, he's been stewing and it...
It was an arcade port, of course it looked worse every arcade port looked worse on the home consoles, the Genesis version didn't look as good as the arcade either. Hell, Street Fighter 2 kinda looks like garbage on the SNES....what were we talking about again?
I sit like 15ft away from a 60 inch Sharp Aquos Quattron, I really don't see the difference. Before you all dog pile me, you should probably know that the further from the screen you are the less the resolution ...
This is a tough thing to grasp, but hey we're all learning one day at a time.
There is no charge, no certification and no one forcing your hand with how content is released on the PC. They can update the game as much as they wan't as often as they want with far fewer restrictions. Not to mention that the PC doesn't have the overhead charges involved with releasing more patches (360).
Overkill may be part of Starbreeze, but they have to remain prof...
They aren't catering to anyone or giving anyone special treatment, it should be obvious by now that updating games on the PC is infinitely easier than the consoles. Then again, we are in N4G land where common sense is a mysterious and rare ability.
Not all of my friends have a PC that run the game adequately? Probably why I spent time with the console version, weird huh?
It's a 9 to you! And that's a wonderful thing, I'm really happy for you. This particular gentlemen felt it was an 7, not a bad score by any stretch of the imagination. Who is right? Who is wrong? Neither one of you is my bet, you see...that number? It's just a number, it's absolutely meaningless in the grand scheme.
Try reading the review and figuring out if you agree with the authors feelings and views about the game. The number is such a secondary un imp...
You shouldn't need to read supplementary material, but then again I haven't read it and I didn't feel the origins of either Ellie or Joel was exactly a huge mystery.
Yep if priced and implemented properly it could be a great way to try games you're curious or on the fence about. I guess it all depends on the prices, how you get the game and length of the rentals.
I could honestly swallow a 10-15 dollar price on the rentals, if that money was counted towards purchasing it from the PS Store. So if it's 59.99, I pay 10.00 to rent it for 3 days or something (Just spitballing) and I am given the option to buy it for 49.99. I could mayb...
I also agree with you on that part, third party exclusivity is an exercise in futility and it's just robbing the developers and publishers of extra revenue. We'll see what the future brings, but unless Titanfall is some Halo level success I think MS will probably go your route.
It makes sense on paper, Titanfall 2 is still coming to the X1 and the money spent on marketing and exclusivity with Titanfall could easily go into something we want like Mech Assault or Crimso...
Yeah the whole "I can only view the same article everyone else is" policy is a real drag. I wish I could click on the articles that interest me and leave it at that, but you know those crazy N4G policies right?
Really went into this article expecting something bad, but I'm really glad to see that for a lot of people who enjoy these kinds of shooters Titanfall satiates an itch that a lot of other shooters haven't recently.
Also a nice little exerpt from the article:
To all the PlayStation fanboys out there:
Please don’t be foolish and judge a game based on watching videos of it on Twitch. You and I both know it’s not the same as actually playing...
Yeah it's definitely the MOBA community in general, but I've had some good luck with Dota 2..
One has a pedigree, the other didn't/doesn't, Kojima's close relationship with Sakurai and Smash Bros being a fairly large and well known thing is more than likely why Kojima shows any interest.
lol, no maybe before but not this time. This is the worst kind of information to have bouncing around the internet.
I do have one question though, if Microsoft are such masters of the media and can manipulate things oh so easily. Why on earth do friends and colleagues still come and ask me about the Xbox One's online requirement or the ability to trade in games? Seems like that's something Microsoft and their Illuminati friends would want to clear up.
