@Farsendor1
Most people who complain are to young to remember any of that, or PC games just plain launching unplayable and broken.
If a Day 1 patch is an actual patch which contains fixes, there is no issue. It's software on a far grander scale than anything games did before the 360/PS3, hell they used to ship games knowing full well that issues and bugs existed which would negatively impact the end user. What was the solution? By releasing a limited numb...
Gross, it's almost as bad as the Skrillex track playing in the BO2 map and Eminems Survival being used in marketing materials (and the credits iirc).
If that's how Destiny progresses or any other game for that matter, I'd stop playing or not purchase it. There are thousands of games released every year, my options are endless.
I spent 5 bucks to get the thriller dance.
There are plenty of different ways games are being released nowadays, if you don't like big businesses model you have alternatives.
Oh no don't say that people like -Foxtrot are SAVING us, oh the humanity save my hobby of gaming. It's not like there are a plethora of alternative for the knuckledragging no life losers to gravitate to. If you don't want to buy games where the publisher and developers are beholden to more then themselves, go load up Steam and count all the indie games, go play those.
Then don't buy that game? It's pretty simple.
@Mixelon A new GTX 970 in Canada is 400 minimum, I built my computer as the Loonie was tanking so I had to opt for the 960 instead of a 970. As it stands the Rift just isn't an option for me, I wish it was but the headset+Video card is just to much.
So Playstation VR I go, even if it is 400 dollars that's still less than what the Rift would be for me.
Depending on the price absolutely, the hardware requirements on the PC centric headsets is ridiculous.
What Kiwi said 100%, I'm sure lots of industry people have gotten special one of a kind things from Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. Just because we've never SEEN anything doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
This is marketing plain and simple.
Also I can't confirm this as I haven't watched any of his videos, but I was informed he actually dialed back on the rape jokes. Again, I can't confirm it one way or another but it's what I've...
Because developing and marketing games is super cheap and the profit margins are gargantuan...
C'mon dude, get a grip.
After Third Birthday, I doubt they'll head back to that well. Kind of a shame really, I really liked PE1/2.
Why the disagree's? The Xbox DVD remote was beyond stupid, especially after just using the controller on a PS2. Out of spite I bought the PS2 DVD remote and never actually played a DVD on my original Xbox.
I know it hurts some people on here, but the PS2 widened the audience and brought in a tonne of people who never played games. That's a good thing, look at something like Gran Turismo 3 or Madden. Sure there was probably overlap with people who liked things like Fin...
Or we can wait until it comes out? Maybe Hennigs absence will have an impact, but it's impossible to know right now and in no way alters the games that preceded it. They will all be the generation defining blockbusters they've always been (To clarify, I didn't like UC3-Sue me).
That's actually something I hadn't considered. How much will VR move the needle over there? Only possible issue I could see is that generally, most live in smaller living quarters. We'll have to see but that's definitely an interesting thought.
You have serious issues, please seek help.
It's on life support, to suggest otherwise is outright denial. Things like DQ, FF will give it a big bump, but Japan will never be the way it was in the 80's,90's and early 00's. The market just isn't there, which is fine.
Just be happy that the Japanese indie scene is beginning to start rolling. Downwell is great, lots of fun and independently developed by a Japanese man. Cool huh?
Yeah, like that Sony conference where all they showed was western games like Destiny and The Crew. It's no fault of Sony's to be perfectly honest, console development especially on the new platforms isn't focused on Japan at all. I guess you could just play Akiba's Trip and Dynasty Warriors forever.
Not even considering the fact that Star Citizen is far larger than 99.9% of the games being released today. What they're trying to do is the furthest thing from simple.
