Off parody, but I've been sitting here and thinking about the notion that females aren't welcome or safe in environments typically dominated by gamers. I went on a date recently with a girl who told me this and I've been reading Brianna Wu's tweets and I still can't figure it out, are the haters Ezio levels of stealthy and I just never see it? I figure picket signs that say "No Vaginas" would probably catch my eye.
Saddled with underpowered CPU's, it's not as cut and dry as saying 50% more powerful GPU. It's the same silicon, with certain things disabled. You will not see things done on the PS4 that are just IMPOSSIBLE on the XB1. I'm not saying the PS4 won't likely always provide a superior experience, I'm saying that the gulf between them isn't so massive that it's going to effect assets being generated or features within games.
You guys are a little to...
Why do people talk about shit they know nothing about? The PS4 is not a high end machine, it's a capable console but nothing even approaching mid to high end machines in terms of pure processing power. You're also pretty much glossing over the plethora of games that work on PC, but just don't play as well on consoles (From a gameplay perspective).
Could you just not talk about stuff you don't know anything about? Could you please? Pretty please?
Man, I sure hit a nerve with you huh? You may not have, but countless teens do. What do you think I was doing? Making an indictment of all teens everywhere? Justifying what? Piracy numbers? I don't really care what the numbers are, I don't pirate games it's all meaningless to me.
The fact is, a certain age group has far less access to disposable income. Thus, they are more likely to pirate new titles as they can't afford them. It's simple. Really, really s...
You're exaggerating the power differences between the two platforms, the PS4 is undoubtedly more powerful. It's not in another league, they are largely similar.
A large portion do, don't be a dick.
The majority of piracy is kids and teens with little or no income.
I don't know, I was to busy urinating on protesters.
Ones an open world with weather out of the box...the other isn't. One has a varied list of cars 200 to be precise, the other has 50.
One clearly offers more, one clearly does more.
The entire crux of this game is to play online and to have online challenges and junk, the singleplayer isn't compelling in the slightest to make up for that.
One of the best racing games from 2004? Sounds about right.
Zero customisation, progression lifted straight out of games for another era, an embarrassingly small number of cars and visually it DOES have rough spots (Some of those textures...yikes).
It's not a bad game, but the way the car porn guy talked about it at the PS4 reveal event and coupled with how it was supposed to be a launch window title, it makes it a disappointment. Especially seeing as how...
No.
Sans FFXI I don't think Xbox and Sony consoles have ever truly co mingled.
Every time I go on a date, I let them know very plainly I like video games...a lot. It's nothing I'm ashamed of, and it's nothing I feel I should be ashamed of. If they have a problem with that, then I generally just get the hell out.
There is something to be said about broadening your interests and having more going on in your life than simply video games. If all you're capable of doing is talking about video games in social situations then you have a problem...
Shouldn't even be posted man, there is a difference between the visual settings in a PC game!? Oh my goodness say it ain't so!
...What?
It would have a following, hell Confrontation managed to muster a following. But a large part of SOCOMS success was down to it being the only online shooter worth playing on the PS2. It will never be THE thing on the Playstation, it simply struck on the right platform at the right time.
To clarify, I'm not saying it wouldn't be moderately popular but not on the level of SOCOM 2. It would be fighting for peoples time against more than Tribes: Aerial Assault (Wasn't...
Twisted Metal was rebooted, it didn't work out so well for Sony. I could see Dark Cloud gaining some traction, but Legend of Legaia or Legend of Dragoon? That's wishful thinking, if sequels to those games were going to happen they would have happened on the PS2. They did in Legaia's case, just not published by Sony.
Also a large majority of those JRPG's in your list weren't published by Sony in North America or Europe. G Fresh(Eidos) brought Legaia 2 to NA...
Legacy of Kain also showed up on the PC, it's also one of those series that Sony has zero control over. We could also go on and on about how that series slowly died by a million cuts.
Yeah but getting the Crash IP back and talking Naughty Dog into making a sequel might take some work.
CTR is the only cart racer to ever surpass Mario Kart. (Diddy Kong Racing was broken, shhhhh)
Is this not down entirely to the Canadian dollar sliding back to normal? Like how the PS4's price got jacked up 50 dollars in Canada to make up for the discrepancy? Almost all PS4 and XB1 games when they launch have sat at 69.99, the lower prices have always been for smaller games or remakes.
I would also like to point out that the issue that has always stymied the Xbox and PSN store was consoles reliance on brick and mortar stores. They can't price games on PSN consi...
Sigh, another year, another CoD and another round of the pretentious circle jerk. Some people like CoD, it's more than a single player campaign. There's no point railing on it, promote things like Gone Home or Journey on their own merits. They shouldn't be used as ammunition for your own pretentious view on what games SHOULD be.
I can enjoy Chaplin or Scorses films, while also enjoying something from Michael Bay. They don't need to be independent from one ano...
