I may be able to forgive, but I do not forget. Though I have not personally had problems with my 360, I will be very cautious if I decide to purchase their next console due to manufacturing flaws.

I am sorry, but I don't think there was a single bit of defense for Microsoft in my statements, I even pointed out the flak they rightfully received for their faulty hardware.

This is a discussion about Sony. I would like you to honestly tell me that you personally belie...

"Somebody obviously doesn't like the PS3"

They like their PS3 just fine, being screwed is what they don't like.

You know what happens to a company that doesn't follow through with a promise to it's stock-holders? The stock holders will drop support. Why? People are not trustworthy, ESPECIALLY not with money. What you do is who you are. Why should it be any different? Purchasing a product is much like investing in a company. Of course you won't throw i...

I believe consumers have a right to expect honesty from the companies they shell their money out to. Unfortunately, most corporations don't play that game.

Honestly, I can't believe people are complaining that someone is standing up and pointing out dishonesty in a corporation.

"Well, they made us believe one thing, we gave them the money and now we're nothing we were promised has arrived.... Guess we should just blindly follow their lead instead of standing up...

I can't wait for this game. Even if it turns out to be nothing special, it will add some much needed variety and over a change in pace, not to mention get some creative juices flowing.

It's obvious that Microsoft wants to launch first because it makes them more competitive. I doubt they would have done as well this generation if they hadn't, that's not to say they can't sell, but it gives them a pretty huge edge being the only new toy on the market.

In addition, it's simple strategy; keep your opponent reacting. You're on the losing side if you find yourself constantly reacting to the competition, because it allows them some level of control over your own str...

Lossless compression is used to save streaming time, not just to take up less space. In addition, it has nothing to do with how good the graphics are, because it is LOSSLESS, just like when you zip something. Unzipping it provides the exact full file intact.

Because Forza 2 left a lot of room on the DVD9, and they likely won't need to make many improvements to an already great engine, it is likely they will focus on new tracks, cars and the graphical aspects of the game. Thoug...

IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO PLAY?!

I WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT THAT THERE IS NOT!

Looks like it's going to be the first card to be able to get away with a playable frame rate without needing dual GPUs. We'll have to see, though.

MEAT-CUBE!

A close friend of mine just picked the game out, I'm going to try it tonight. If the last MGS games are any indication, I probably won't like it... but that doesn't make it a bad game. I agree that these "flaws" seem very real. The game has far too much in the ways of cut scenes, I've watched a few on youtube and i simply couldn't believe how long they allowed the player to watch rather than experience, looking at all the great games that were breaking that barrier recently.

It's about Microsoft, and in that case, all I can really say is that Microsoft has done a very good job keeping promises when it comes to the Xbox 360. They have adopted a "don't even mention it until it's almost done" kind of attitude 90% of the time that makes their lives much easier. No lies to tell or keep up with, just innovate or add to the services provided regularly because it's what people expect, want, and deserve.

Take a chill pill.

It's too bad you need to hate the Xbox 360 so much, there's some great gaming there. To be honest, this is the first time Sony has ever had a "decent" lineup this generation. It's just the truth. They have some great games, but they have been few and far between. At least it's picking up.

About halfway through that rant I was picturing some scronny pasty dude with cheeto dust on his shirt in tears at his computer screen as he held his...

If Microsoft wants to spend money to invest in a game so that they can provide a better experience for their customers (though it is something they make money on) where is the problem with that?

It is well within their power, and honestly, they'd be stupid not to try and provide a better experience than the competition, because if they didn't, they would be indistinguishable.

Honestly, Microsoft being willing to pay for exclusives and putting lots of money into first...

I call smart business tactics.

Just because a person or a company does what is within their control to keep ahead of the competition, doesn't mean they're desperate, it means they're smart enough to realized that being a name brand only goes so far. Microsoft, from what I've seen recently, it isn't about talk, it's about action, and I can definitely respect that.

that the game wouldn't take 50gb... That has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not it's a good game regardless.

The 3470 is ATi's low-end budget card. You can get them at my store for about $50. A 2600 XT will outperform it quite a bit, for about the same price as this VIA solution.

it definitely could be the cause of all the issues. You only need a single insignificant part to fail to disrupt an entire computer system, in this case, I would say generally anything that has to do with the graphics chip failing or malfunctioning would have a HUGE impact on a gaming system.

All we can do is hope that Microsoft has learned from this mistake, and considering what it's cost them, I'm willing to be they have.

Good observation, funny how some of the biggest Kojima fans are those who understand him and his humor the least...

I've alway loved Kojima for his subtle sarcasms, seemingly always poking fun at the players.
