It's of no consequence since the game is mostly finished at this point.
Konami probably couldn't ruin it if they wanted to (and they probably do want to ruin it.)
I prefer the PS4. Some prefer the Xbox One. End of story.
Is this an MMO? It looks way too fast-paced and responsive to be one. It looks really good so far.
I'd say it was more polished for the amount of content it had but it had less content than Skyrim. The world in Dragon's Dogma was big but nowhere near as huge as Skyrim. Overall, I think I preferred DD over Skyrim myself. Loved both. They both have their strengths and weaknesses over one another.
Rogue Galaxy 2.
That's great news. I've yet to play it but it's on my (long) list of "to play soon."
You raise valid points. It's true that stories have been retold since story telling began. I just feel like it hasn't been that long since the last one came out. I feel the same way about Castlevania and DmC.
They are sometimes better than the sequels though not as good as the original. That's true. However, most reboots could be called any other name and be an entirely new franchise on its own. The way I see it, they mostly just want to ride on the original seri...
I don't know. Is that a good thing? Just because it's called Metal Gear Solid doesn't necessarily mean it'll be any good.
But yeah. Definitely april's fools XD
Nothing needs a reboot. Ever.
No one is moaning. The lowest score I've seen so far is 7.5/10 among a sea of 9-10. Haven't played it yet (I have it though) but I'm sure that everyone who got it knew what they were getting into.
You're right but technically, MGSV is not MGO.
He wasn't involved with it (MGO) much. It was mostly Kojima Productions LA so I'm guessing it really isn't affected.
That's true but since MGO is multiplayer, they're going to be adding content as they go (new maps, characters, modes maybe) and also probably balance the game.
Also, I don't think Kojima was very involved with MGO to begin with. He usually isn't.
I really just want the official word on it right now.
They don't have anything left without him. MGS was the only thing bringing in any money for a while.
I'm guessing Kojima was an expensive employee and they thought Metal Gear would be more lucrative if they didn't have to pay for his expenses/decisions and just live off the IP.
Konami basically killed Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania and Suikoden. I guess you can throw in Zone of the Enders as well.
PT didn't have much in common with the Silent Hill franchise to begin with. It could definitely work.
The box art thing is weird at best. His name was on the cover of every single game he worked on since MGS2. Even the games he was on simply as producer had "Produced by Hideo Kojima."
So why remove that now just because his studio was disbanded? I suppose I can understand why they took it off the MGSV cover (I guess) but why remove it from the...
I agree with you if they were going first person with the actual game but I see nothing wrong with it if they were planning on a third person view.
You may be underestimating their stupidity.
Well he directed the game. How can it be missing Kojima? Hayer didn't want to distance himself either. He simply wasn't called to voice Snake.
As to their buddiness they always seemed to be on friendly terms.
I just want to know what the hell it's all really about before making any real judgement. They still haven't told us what's what.
At this point, the game is almost done so it's not like the recent changes will affect the final product. Thus, I see no reason to cancel my preorder. If it had been early in development, I probably would have canceled it.
That said, if it's Kojima's last MGS it's also my last MGS.
