I have a feeling Nintendo is only involved enough to keep the game from making Zelda look bad like the CD-i games. I think a lot of these release decisions are coming pretty much completely from Tecmo Koei because it's pretty inconsistent with any other DLC choice Nintendo has made since they released Wii U.
I still believe that pricing individual game rentals is not a great idea. A flat monthly rate subscription service would be much better especially if they discount it for PS+ users. Netflix and Hulu are both streaming services that are cheap and even OnLive does what PS Now does for about the same price. I think a lot of people would be much more comfortable with that payment model. Since Sony is still testing prices they should give it a try and see how people respond.
I don't get it. Why do Nintendo fans get generalized together like this like they are some sort of mob group who refuse to acknowledge any legitimate criticism against Nintendo? Some of the Nintendo fans here are actually pretty open minded and accepting of what Nintendo gets wrong. I haven't read all the comments but I don't think there is anyone here who stated anything you just mocked them for.
Wait, I work at Nintendo?? And there are 7 million of us?!?! I hope we get good benefits! :D
Trust me when I say I'm not rich lol. I don't get to buy much. I am just really good at saving money and putting it toward a goal. I do agree with you on PS Now prices somewhat though. I think Sony was trying to experiment. I just hope they do a subscription service like onlive.
They are businesses at the end of the day. Competitive discussions are fun, but when people start acting petty and childish it just makes all look bad. Fanboys doesn't need to stop and go away but the aggressive bullying should.
There were several reasons for Wii U's bad launch the name was just one of them. They are better off now though. If Nintendo is smart they will try to appeal to fans and hardcore gamers a little more.
Well said. Consider yourself bubbled.
Nintendo can't make all these games on their own. They just need to be careful and hire the right people.
Boo. You have Link and Zelda figures so why not use them? No big deal but still it would have been a nice feature to have for more incentive.
A traditional one that goes back to basics with good old fashioned spin attacks, boxes and platforming. Naughty Dog are not the only ones who can do it but clearly the guys who currently have him are not bothering.
If they had called it Wii 2 there would have been less confusion that's for sure. Playstation has been doing it for a while and it works every time. It's a shame Nintendo lost such an ambitious guy. I hope their indie push doesn't suffer too much without him around.
I believe the list is Luigi's Mansion 2, New Super Luigi Bros. expansion, Super Luigi Bros. in NES Remix 2 and Dr. Luigi. There might be more, but I can't remember. He starred not cameo'd in these games too.
I haven't played a Dynasty Warriors game since DW3, so this is a pretty good place to get back into it now that I have a Wii U and am getting into Zelda. Using the moon from Majora's Mask looks like scary good fun. :D
Can't my opinion be that it is not badly designed? I don't get what's so wrong with it. I liked it the same way I like the idea of remote play on Vita. It may not be huge revolution but it is pretty comfortable in my hands and has some nifty uses.
edit oh definitely. Trying to make a direct Wii followup was a foolhardy but it's two years after the fact now so Nintendo has to make the best of it. Since Mario Kart came out I think there's more interest in i...
He's not a bad fighter but his recovery is pretty bad compared to the others.
Snake technically started on MSX but the first game was indeed made for NES with its own non-canon sequel. There is also Twin Snakes for gamecube which was okay for Nintendo fans so there was reason enough to put Snake in Smash. I hope he comes back in Smash 4 though.
Glad to see you're enjoying your Wii U. :) Most of my third party games have been downloaded like Shovel Knight. I'm trying to save up for some of the big releases for this year and a PS4 so I don't think I'll be getting AC either way.
He got super nerfed in Brawl. He was one of my mains too. :(
Actually that Nintendo Direct was mostly narrated by the guy who directed the game from Tecmo Koei. Zelda's producer from Nintendo was only in it the end of the video. You are right though, Nintendo is somewhat responsible but I think Nintendo gave Tecmo Koei the rights to do what they wanted with release and content before the game was made. That's just speculation on my part. The preorder stuff is so out of step with how Nintendo normally handles these kinds of things, so I think we...
