Having one female version of Link would not suddenly wipe all the other incarnations from existence.
Gotta agree. It's very difficult to enter public multiplayer games without encountering a lot of rude and obscure behavior that does not distract from the game and our team's objectives. I relegate myself to friend chat as well.
But all the different Links aren't even the same character so it is not all that bad to consider the idea of Link being female in a future game. I'm open to playable Zelda and Shiek but I'm also open to female Link. There are plenty of future Zelda games so I'm sure there is room to try out both at some point.
I don't disagree with that at all but is Shiek not used a lot in the main Zelda canon? I have only played SS and WW so I cannot say for sure. She seems to be getting a lot of representation in games like Smash Bros. and Hyrule Warriors so it's difficult for me to see her as under appreciated. I think the idea of a female Link is appealing to some people because it is something that has never been tried before. Since none of the Links are the same then I don't think it's too ou...
Yeah Notch even said he loved Wii U and just wanted Zelda to come out.
Like online multiplayer. That would be an awesome update. :P
For $.50 my friends and I got a lot of comedy out of it. It was fun to riff on but definitely don't buy if you are expecting a serious experience. :P
That's great because that concept art was never Link to begin with. She is a concept art for a younger sister to the actual Link character. Her name was going to be Linkel or Linkelle. I personally am okay with a female Link if Nintendo wants to do it but it is not something I am going out of my way to ask for or expect. Having a playable daughter or younger sister would be a better idea.
I second this. Notch wasn't bashing Wii U. He even says in his tweets he was just using Twitter to playfully whine about no Zelda. The article was made to bend the facts and get a rise out of people. So annoying.
That's the thing though. When you are put on the spot sometimes your mind thinks one thing and something else passes your lips. We can't really say for sure unless they ask him to clarify. It's not impossible for him to have had no idea, but I don't think that's the case.
Oh come on, he probably just misspoke. Like that Nintendo of Canada executive who said Rayman was playable in Smash Bros. People are not perfect. Give 'em a break.
Bad reporting happens a lot on N4G. :( I had a feeling there was more to this than the headline suggested. I feel both Notch and the author should have been more clear.
I think Sony simply earned a ton of support, exclusive or not through great hardware and marketing. That was more than enough for developers to put their A games on Sony platforms without the need for exclusivity deals.
What about Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children? I like that movie, even if there isn't much story to it.
I'm sure being $.50 helped The Letter with those numbers. I got it for that much to riff on it later on with friends. Might have to make up a drinking game for it too. :P
Really? My friend told me she read Linkel was a little sister. Either way super cute. :)
Yeah but PS4 is killing it in the west. When they get more Japanese games on PS4 then it will do better there. Wii U and 3DS are doing quite well in Japan. Congrats to Nintendo. :)
Fans have a right to feel upset, but this is just companies making business happen. This is the industry we are in so we either make a fuss or deal.
Aww, but Ralph is a great character. Plus his entire movie is centered around him being in game worlds he normally doesn't belong in. Incidentally he's also a parody of Donkey Kong. :D
PM and block? Well okay but next time you might want to wait for actual harassment before you block somebody for no reason. Anyway to respond to your other point about Zelda and Shiek, that would actually be a better idea but why not try both? Zelda seems like a very flexible franchise and could do a lot of new things if Nintendo decides to do so. One game they could try making Zelda the hero then in another game they could try a woman Link. I would be okay with either but only if it's so...
