Depends on your definition of winning. If you mean make a profit? They most certainly can. If you mean sell the most consoles, it's possible but not very likely.
Guess I lucked out then lol. at least you still get the free game, right? :)
Sheesh Josephayal, why don't you ask Nintendo to bankrupt themselves and give away their offices to the public? The bundle gets you a game, a console, two controllers and a free game with registering MK8. How is that not a good value for what it's at now?
Kind of like a shooting game. I mean, it's not like this is an RPG. It honestly seems better this way in my opinion.
Instead they'll have to explore and find the guns and tools to make themselves a badass. I like the approach. Now we just have to see if Bungie can really make it work. I think they've got a good shot. :)
Wat? It's not an RPG, it's a shooter. And it's not an MMO, but it has MMO elements.
A lot of the game's mechanics have to do with finding guns and gaining abilities, kind of like Borderlands. That and I think they wanted players to be at an equal footing early in the game. That way the skill will come from the guns you find and how you use them.
That's a neat idea! That means players' characters will be on equal footing and you can differentiate based on guns, abilities and gear. A strange concept, but one I'd like to executed well. If anyone can do it, I think it's Bungie.
Actually May 9th is a week and two days away. You were close though. :P
Yeah, shame the console itself wasn't specialized, but when you consider all of the neat stuff you get, it's hard to be too put off by the lack of aesthetic changes! I hope to see you on the track someday soon sir! :D
So to sum up, one game, two controllers (gamepad and Wiimote), one peripheral, one system and a free game when you register MK8? Well then. As I said before, time to buckle down and throw my saved cash into a Wii U purchase!
Haha, not a bad idea at all! Wind Waker will probably net you the most money shaved off of MK8, I think.
Give a code to a friend! One of mine said she would give me her code for Wind Waker since she has all four games as well. :) Like Neon said, free is free!
Dang it, how did I miss your comment? Anyway, thanks for clearing that up. Bubble for being helpful! :)
Um... that's their website store. For the Nintendo website. Not the Wii U or 3DS eShop. The eShop is part of the online infrastructure, ya nincompoop.
I really don't see how having a controlled interactive event is "falling into obscurity"... That sounds unnecessarily negative.
@Foxtrot Since when do general consumers watch E3? I thought the people watching it were gamers who were planning to watch the material no matter what. Wouldn't those people also tune into the Nintendo stuff if they were interested?
A lot of people seem to believe Nintendo are going to reach a smaller audience, but it's worth noting that this different approach actually has people talking about it. I agree, they should be commended for trying something a bit more risky, but let's see if it works out well for them.
@rdgnez3 The internet is full of idiots and jerks. Does that mean that we should get rid of interactive chats altogether? 'Course not! I like that Nintendo will be making this more interactive for fans. :)
A Nintendo mobile phone would be interesting, but unless it ran on iOS or Android, it probably wouldn't make much traction and wind up like Xperia Play. :(
