Not good enough. Sony, you have GOT to find a way to allow us to download ALL PS Now games and play natively! Until that day comes I will never subscribe to your service! If two guys in their freaking garage can develop a moderately functioning PS3 emulator (RPCS3), then surely a multi-billion dollar company can put a team together to get this figured out! There is no reason why in 2021 on PS5 you can't make this happen!
LOL PlayStation fan here and I don't know why you're being downvoted. This place is hilarious sometimes.
I really haven't seen much "hate" on this game other than the price tag. However if it's as good as the previews are alluding to, I'll gladly pay it.
Personally I think the name is brilliant. It perfectly describes the premise of the game. You're eternally returning to where you started! :)
Agreed. To be perfectly honest, I really cannot tell much of a difference between any of those "north of 1080p" resolutions. 1440p, 1800p, 2160p, they all look so similar that it's not even worth caring about. I agree. I am so spoiled now by 60fps that I never want to go back! Framerate trumps all IMO.
Can't wait! Sounds like AMD's FidelityFX strikes again! I so hope this is the norm going forward with all videogames! I'm already spoiled beyond belief with 60fps. But if we can get 4K (even if it's just dynamic) /60fps/RT on every game, that would be so great!
@Petebloodyonion,
Dude, people have been playing that "PT" card for years now in trying to argue against digital. Look that was a product of extenuating circumstances caused by a strained relationship between a developer and a publisher. P.T. is a tech demo. It's not even a real game. Yet people want to act like Sony was doing something spiteful and nefarious by taking the availability away. They had no choice.
I can understand gamers being pissed at not being able to buy games digitally from those stores but don't understand the whole "game preservation" argument. Do people really think that just because Sony closes those stores down that the games themselves are just lost forever in the ether? The game files still exist so people don't need to worry about them going non-existent. Just because they're no longer available to the public for purchase doesn't mean that the ...
@Mr. Logic
Because as PlayStation fans it's in our best interest for the company to continue to thrive. It wasn't very long ago that Sony was in very real trouble financially and the future of PlayStation was in doubt. Sony doesn't have the ability to piss money away like MS can. They don't have the luxury of having an enormous revenue stream from an OS/productivity software monopoly. They have to be smart with how they choose to invest. Personally I th...
I'm with you. This didn't affect me at all so I really didn't care. But I'm glad this decision was made for the benefit of those who do.
If you want people to buy your game at full price, how about you don't release it as a buggy mess to reviewers, thereby negatively effecting review scores.
I'll admit it. I didn't buy Days Gone at launch because the reviews talked about how buggy it was. Yes I know there was a day one patch but that first patch did not fix everything. It took a few patches over time. I bought the game when I felt like the issues had been fixed. By that time it had been put ...
Agreed. Miles Morales at 1440p/60fp/RT looks and runs glorious!
Would rather have a 1440p + 60fp + RT option like in Spider-Man Miles Morales.
Finally somebody who understands business!
@Rachel _Alucard
No, it's because there are way too many idiots with a keyboard trying to play armchair CEO who actually have no clue what they are talking about. This is quickly turning into a ridiculous social media "witch hunt" by a bunch of clueless mouth-breathers who would have no idea how to run a company like Sony. IS Jim Ryan the right guy for the job? I think the only accurate answer right now is the jury is still out. We really won't know th...
If you think PlayStation is the ONLY thing that makes Sony money, you need to do your research. Sony is a huge conglomerate with many revenue streams. PlayStation might be generating MORE revenue than any of their other divisions but it's not the only division that makes money.
Sigh, this article again?
Too little too late for me. If they were going to do this, they shouldve come out around 2016, 2017. In 2021 these shouldve been full blown remakes.
Crying about a sequel to a JRPG that came out 20 years ago, my God MOVE ON!
I agree. People don't know what the f_ck they're talking about on here, especially when it comes to running a company. Those calling for Jim Ryan to be fired need to STFU and let the grown ups talk. Sony just posted a RECORD 25 billion in revenue from their gaming division. More than double what their competitors posted. This happened under Jim Ryan's watch. Sonys not going to fire him lol! People are out of their minds thinking that. Gamers need to just focus on playing t...
That isn't analytical data. That's an anecdotal and subjective generality.
"The gamers, their customers, and loyal fans have said its a bad move.'
Really? ALL of them have said that? Did you take a poll? Did you interview all of them? Internet griping is not a metric and businesses should not make decisions based on what the vocal minority on social media has to say.
Or for most people. This service will never be a success so long as it relies on streaming for such a large portion of it's content.
