While I agree with the article, PlayStation is facing similar trouble in Japan. The home console industry is...maybe not totally dead in Japan but it's certainly shrank to an extremely niche audience compared to it's heyday in the 90's and early 00's. Mobile and handheld gaming is king in Japan, period! In a country where space is a commodity and long commutes are commonplace, you can understand why. This is why Japanese gamers prize mobile gaming and it's why Nintendo...
Pretty good game. I just wish there was a way to remove all of the on screen text. It annoys me.
Oh please 8lb 6oz baby Jesus let this be the case!!!
Wow. It must be a slow news day. You mean MS ACTUALLY spoke with one of their 1st party studios about future projects?!? You don't say!! Film at eleven!
To quote Robert DeNiro in Meet The Parents...
"Well, we'll certainly look forward to that Phil."
I'm ready for a new IP for sure. The last thing I want from ND for their next game (not including factions) is yet another Uncharted or a new Last of Us. In fact, I wouldn't even mind seeing them tackle another genre altogether. I'd love to see if they could make a better "Cyberpunk" game than CDPR. Or even go a little more whimsical with a new Jack and Daxter or a new mascot type game.
You cant remove what was never there.
Same. I'm still not sure what about their E3 that everyone is so enamored with but to each their own. We still don't know what the hell Starfield is. Halo MP looked...OK I guess. Flight Simulator is pretty but my God ZZZZzzzzzzz. Forza Horizon looked really good and I would play that but aside from that, everything they have revealed that remotely interests me is still YEARS away. By 2023 the XSX might be worth getting but NOW? Ha! No way.
Still too premature to say this until they prove that they can provide a consistent flow of high quality exclusives.
Is it? I didn't think it was all that mind-blowing to be honest with you. It just basically looked like Fallout in a space setting.
This is also a cross-gen game. It's coming to PS4 as well. This is not a designed from the ground up next gen game.
I agree. I think the State of Play format works better when it focuses on one title and gives us a nice deep dive on that title. This worked so well for TLOU2, GOT, R&C:ARA, and HFW.
Have PSX twice a year I say. One in January that focuses on titles we'll be playing in the coming year and one in July that focuses on the long term "road map" games we'll be playing the following year and beyond.
Worst one since those couple of years when they decided to make it strictly a corporate event (I forgot the years).
IMO nobody "won" E3 this year. It was just degrees of suck. MS and Nintendo sucked less than everyone else. A dubious honor as there ever has been.
I already know the one thing I needed to know. 60.00 for a 2D Metroid game in 2021, sorry but no.
It is. They simply cannot get into a bidding war over studios with MS. MS will win a war of attrition every time. Sonys strategy of forming partnerships with these talented upstart studios along with established 3rd party developers is smart.
Exciting? No. It was certainly full of...stuff. But other than Forza nothing looked next gen to me. They're still not hitting the mark in terms of those epic "wow" moments.
Ok that was funny!
"LGBT"
I think they've added 3 or 4 more letters to this now. LOL.

"No one has to. Just don't buy it."
I'm constantly astonished at how this is lost on so many people.
