Where is Titanfall 3?
Yep. Solid 7 for sure. This reminds me of the first year of last generation when Dragon Age won GOTY. I was like, in no other year does that game even sniff GOTY. But because there was hardly anything worth playing, it won basically by default.
Yep
Lmao! This is no 9.5 game.
Wow, a tad hyperbolic are we?
@Zhipp
I'm all for indies when they are made in a modern, AAA-like manner like No Man's Sky, Kena Bridge of Spirits, Rocket League, Stray, Quantum Error, Little Devil Inside, etc. I will always support those kinds of indie games where the devs put some real ambition into them. However if I see another top/down game, another 8 bit pixel art game, or another artsy-fartsy tree-hugger game I'm going to throw up.
The only correct answer here is...who gives a crap?
Agreed. I haven't really played my Switch since Luigi's Mansion 3. I'm just not interested in shoddy multiplat ports, old Wii/Wii U ports, indies, or anime heavy games. I'm waiting for Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4. Those are the only 2 games in development (that we know of) for Switch that interest me. All this other stuff, I just consider filler until those games come out. In the meantime, hey Nintendo, where's a new Punch Out? Where's a new Star Fo...
Honestly, when I think of the term "indie game" THIS is the sort of thing I want! Not a bunch of cheap looking top down pixel art crap. I want indie games that have a AAA look and feel and this one has it in spades! Games like Kena, Stray, Little Devil Inside, Bugsnax, The Pathless, etc are what I want from the indie dev community! Not all those damn cookie cutter 16 bit looking games!
I think its important that we distinguish game preservation from what's being made available to the public for purchase here.
First of all, those of you crying about "game preservation", why did you come to the conclusion that Sony shutting down the stores would suddenly mean those digital roms would cease to exist? Do you honestly think Sony is going to activate some giant EMP and wipe all of those files from existence? You think they're going to be r...
it's the only argument they have.
That's not QUITE how it happened. He was walking by a kiosk that was running the OG Gran Turismo on PS1 and said "I don't know why anyone would want to play that." That's not an indictment on EVERY old game. He was talking about how visually that game is an eyesore by today's standards and he's right. Those old polygonal PS1 games look horrible by today's standards, especially on HD TV's. They do not hold up the way the old sprite based games from th...
Oooh, I never considered that! Maybe you're right! Maybe the game IS like a modern day take on Metroid! That would be awesome! I just don't see any puzzle solving in this game but maybe they are saving that for when you get it and play it.
My main concern with this game is the isolated nature of it. Are there no NPC's in this game? Is it just you, your gun, and the nightmarish creatures you have to fight? Plus I wonder if the game loop is fun enough to overcome the seemingly repetitive nature of it?
It was part of the PS Plus collection that was exclusive to just PS5 owners. Now it's available for free for PS4 Plus subscribers. What's funny is PS4 owners bitched when Sony announced that the Plus collection was only for PS5 owners and now PS5 owners are bitching because Days Gone is one of the regular PS Plus freebies for April. It's damned if they do and damned if they don't.
@Bathyj
I haven't bought a Bethesda game since Skyrim on PS3. I don't like Fallout at all. Played part 3 and never finished it. Tried 4 out when it was free for PS5 owners. Meh. It's just not my thing. That's not to say I won't be interested in future Bethesda games like Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 but until they show me something that blows my skirt up, I'm not crying over the MS acquisition.
@Havalark
That might be the absolute most ignorant post I've ever read on here...and that's saying something!
@MrSEC84
Thanks Captain Obvious LOL!
Yes, I KNOW those games aren't made by Insomniac (duh!!). I was just responding to spirited's comments in regards to Guerrilla Games taking so much time to release a patch for Horizon Zero Dawn. The POINT (something you completely missed), was if studios like Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Remedy, etc can respond so swiftly to release 60fps patches for their games, why can't other studios? And I wasn't d...
Right? And where are these patches for games like Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy, Last of Us Part 2, Red Dead 2, Death Stranding, etc?
Sega will not be participating. Along with Sony, EA, Activision/Blizzard, and Bandai Namco.
