Yeah I'm waiting on that too but it's out on Friday here.

This kind of thing has been in development for a while now. There a few different organisations around the world funding this sort of tech development.

Honda have dabbled in thought control which I think would be more useful than this but no one really cares. Most people will never have even thought it was possible. http://www.geek.com/article...

Yep this and Natal could be cool but this isn't exactly controller-less interaction which is what Natal is all about.

Also, 'does away for the need of a pesky camera (or Power Glove)' but then it says 'sensor module that could be placed all over the body'. What's up with that? No need for camera or power glove is great but then they want to replace it with what sounds like a power body suit.

I'm personally not too keen on this for personal use at home. This seems mor...

Well, whatever the reason for his inspiration I think we should just be glad he wants to work on the PS3.

MGS4 is the only one of his games I've ever played so I don't know about any other franchise he may have done but I'd like to see him try a genre he's not done before as he seems to be the kind of developer that could bring something very unique to the table.

My little brother has got this game on his DS and I still haven't played it.

I've heard there are three Professor Layton games though I only know of The Curious Village and Pandora's Box. What's the other one?

Maybe he was inspired to show IW how it should be done :P

That's probably because it's the biggest difference between the two services.

There's nothing wrong with that as long as it's a decent username. It could be someone's name for all you know.

edit: Yeah I'm not too keen on them too. I had a feeling you might say something like that so I added the 'as long as it's a decent username' before posting :D lol

edit2: my username was a bit of a mistake on this site. It was intended to be 'Rafiki' (as in the baboon from The Lion King) but since it's a popular sight I made the assumption it would be take...

I'm not so sure about the new engine. It would be great if they do have a completely new engine as Source was amazing when it was first debuted but the point in Source was so that it would continue to evolve and stand the test of time.

Well, when it is released there'll be a lot of people expecting it to be absolutely amazing considering the amount of time they'll have been waiting.

Didn't they say they went with episodic content so they could bring us something every 18 months or so instead of having to wait years for a sequal?

edit: "It’s easier on the team. They have more fun; they can feel like they’re getting things out to customers sooner, so it’s actually an easier project for us than, say, the five years that we went through on Half-Life 2." from paragraph 6 in

The fact that he's been able to do this is pretty amazing but doesn't the PSP have similar functionality? Remote Play I think it's called.

edit: I'd say this is more impressive since you wouldn't be able to play many games via Remote Play and Sony really needs to take notice. Either that or someone should inform them.

The controller is still the most precise method of interaction with games. Even the Wii motion plus isn't as good for action games as standard controller.

While it may not be great for FPS play there's no reason why it can't be implemented for the parts of games that don't require precision control. E.g. a game like Mass Effect where you have your controller for normal gameplay with Natal implementation for the galaxy chart and character interaction.

Yeh that's what I thought as well but that might be just another one of those assumptions people like to make which ends up getting spread around.

edit: A lot of the E3 unveiling was about not needing a controller but I don't remember them saying they'd do anything as drastic as getting rid of the controller.
There will most likely be games that can be played without a controller at all but there's no way in hell hardcore games will do away with the controller as the tech d...

You'd be surprised at how many people actually thought Natal would do away with the controller and were saying how great it would be to play all games without a controller.

Natal will definitely enhance the gameplay experience and allow us to interact in new ways but the technology still needs to mature before we get the precision we need for hardcore gaming. I remember the unveiling of Natal in E3 and there was a definite delay between the players actions and that shown on scree...

More and more RPG elements are getting used in genres that started off with none at all. I think the dungeon element is good next step for hack'n'slash games and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it works out in Darksiders.

I heard about it a while back and liked the visual style of it but it wasn't on my radar untill a month ago when I started checking out promotional vids on GameTrailers.

I'm glad I got GoW Collection and Sigma2 out of the way cos now I'll have time to play this :D

I'm with you on that one. The DS is a great system with an amazing library of games but to most the only ones that matter are the PS3 and 360.

This is great news. I won't need to import Blazblue :D

Funny how people want it all of a sudden lol
