That's just visuals though. Focusing on one platform does nothing for every other aspect of the game.
I doubt you'd want this to end up being PC exclusive just because that's where it would look the best.
It does take a while to animate stuff depending on the level of detail you go into and how well you want to lip sync.
Here's a video of the animation process for an Overwatch character highlight intro. It's not the same but gives an idea of the work that goes into it. https://player.vimeo.com/vi...
@Pullmywaffle, there are plenty of people who said they had no interest in the game prior to the open beta and loved it. Even some who generally dislike Blizzard games. Maybe should have given it a shot before coming to a conclusion about how bad it is?
@Ermac_Wins, that's not what happened at all. One person pointed out that the Overwatch character's pose was out of character and didn't suit. Developer agreed and had it changed to something that was in characte...
I know right?
People made a massive fuss about the PS3 costing around £500 at launch. This thing is a peripheral at that price. It's just rediculous.
True, I bought a copy off the UK Nintendo store and it didn't come with the first game. Seems to be the collectors edition or something that it comes with.
Seems the people disagreeing have little experience of the working world. Some places are OK with you browsing the net while you have some down time in which case images like this can very easily be taken the wrong way by someone who happens to be passing by.
Mods are obviously slacking here.
They probably just got someone in marketing to put it together.
Isn't next year's Ratchet and Clank developed by Insomniac and PS4 only?
If so, I don't see why they couldn't do another Resistence game.
Wow, talk about jumping to conclusions. Thought this was an Alpha?
Yep, shit loads of re-skinned mounts in game and most of the good unique mounts are in the real money shop.
Pretty crazy considering they charge monthly for this game.
Doing side quests seems to take a while to level up. I found that the main quests seem to give much more experience.
Mecha Megatron online
I'd like that but unfortunately the only other MMO they were working on got cancelled.
I'm afraid we're stuck with what we have. We can only hope things improve with the next expansion but we've been saying that 2 expansions in a row now.
The thing that keeps me still playing though is the story and the lore behind it all. While the game's mechanics are outdated the delivery of the story itself and everything that holds it together keeps the whole thing interesting.
While I enjoy playing other MMOs they always fall short in terms of story.
Having said all that, Blizzard screwed up big with the latest expansion. The next expansion may well be the death of the game. We'll just have to se...
To be honest I'd much rather it be a full on animated film. Their own in house animated cinematics are awesome. Would not mind having a full movie done in that way.
CGI orcs battling live action humans isn't the best way to do it IMO.
Maybe a total of both expansions?
That does sound pretty good. Would go a fair way to adding replay value.
I was in the same boat. Took me ages to finish the game. I still have a bunch of quests I in my quests log.
I noticed that the main story quests give you shit loads of xp and can level up much quicker that way.
The point of hard difficulties is to be difficult. I feel new game+ as good as it is takes the difficulty down since you start with an overpowered character. Might as well play on easy.
So I can understand not having it in the game to begin with but I do usually find that I feel like playing it again if the new game+ option is there.
I suppose having the option for those that want it isn't bad.
Doomfist has been in development for ages. Chances are they had his VO guy lined up and recording lines well before Terry crews was even thought of for the part by fans.
Blizzard may end up using Terry for a future character.
